Golden Beach Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Very DISAPOINTED with my experience at this restaurant tonight, as a customer of the past 10 years I am use to a mistake every now and then. I called to explain an error that had been made with my take away order and the young Aussie girl (who originally took my order over the phone) was extremely helpful and apologetic and asked me to come back up to collect the dishes. Driving back I was so happy with the young girls service I was even going to offer to pay for any error in the bill to ensure it didn’t get deducted out of her pay for the night. When I arrived at the restaurant I was greeted by the older Chinese female owner who was extremely quick to blame me for the error stating that ‘I never ordered these dishes’ (I found this very strange as it was the first I’d spoken to her for the night and she had nothing to do with any of the interaction so far) she was extremely rude making me feel as if somehow this was fault, which was confusing as the nice girl had already admitted it was a simple mix up. 10/10 for young Aussie girls service but will never give these guys any business again. I've eaten at a lot of bad Chinese restaurants over the years but this is the only one bad enough to compel me to leave a bad review. The sweet and sour pork pieces were the size of golf balls but was made up of undercooked batter that was so thick it might as well be cake with tiny pieces of meat inside. The braised beef was pale and tasteless, and the portions were small. The water jug they served water in smelled of seafood as did the water itself. The only saving grace was the Chinese tea which was overpriced considering they're made with tea bags. Overall, overpriced and just...

First and last time ordering takeaway. I was very specific in ordering a special fried rice and said I only want egg, ham and pork...NO PRAWNS, NO SHALLOTTS, NO CHICKEN and asked if that was ok...I was told yes. I got home and there was prawns and shallots and peas throughout the rice. When I rang to complain I was told sorry and they would speak to the kitchen. But that doesn't help my son who has to pick all the stuff out. How do they know he doesn't have a seafood allergy. It shouldn't be hard to follow what's written down. I WILL NOT go back...
