Hane Sushi in Coolum is an absolute must-visit if you’re in the area. The sushi is incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was amazing — from the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to the crispy tempura and perfectly seasoned rice bowls. You can tell the chefs put a lot of care into the quality of their food.

What really made the experience stand out was the service, especially from Maya, who was truly exceptional. She welcomed us with a big smile and made us feel right at home. Maya was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about making sure every customer has a great experience. She even gave us some helpful recommendations from the menu, which we loved.

The vibe at Hane Sushi is relaxed and welcoming, whether you're dining in or grabbing takeaway. It’s clean, cozy, and conveniently located near the beach, making it the perfect stop after a day out.

I would’ve said this place was one of the top sushi places on the sunnycoast, however it seems it’s all gone downhill. The price has risen significantly per place ($4.20) which is an absolute joke. They should’ve kept it something reasonable, now they will be losing a lot of loyal customers. The price before I was happy to turn a blind eye on the lack of customer care, you always end up waiting forever for food, or for them to turn your iPad on. It seems they don’t know how to run a business. They are consistently rude to the young staff (waiters), they obviously need to make it a more inclusive work environment so that their staff actually stay longer then a few weeks and don’t constantly need training. We use to go in weekly, almost a different person every time. Clearly nobody wants to stick around. Message to the cooks and manger - treat your staff with respect. It’s pathetic listening to you adult bicker and whine at someone whose a teenager just trying to give it a go. They’ll do better with encouragement. Anyways. They have lost another customer. I had such a great experience getting sushi today! From the moment I walked in, everything was clean, welcoming, and well-organized. The sushi itself was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor—it honestly exceeded my expectations. Every bite was a perfect balance of texture and taste. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into their food.
