As a rule of thumb, I don’t particular care about the quality of service or atmosphere of a venue - even though this can make a dining experience more pleasant. What I do care about though is quality of food. And when you’re a cafe that does not have a complicated menu, you would think that the simple things like bacon and eggs, would be cooked to a high standard. Well, sad to say this was not the case. My big breakfast had bacon that was only fried on one side - surely no one likes eating copious amount of unrendered fat. My poached eggs had a yolk harder than the shells they came out of and the 8 cherry tomatoes on my plate were not even warm let alone blistered - they should have just gave me the punnet they came in. The chorizos had no char on them and were cold, the mushrooms were undercooked (which was really disappointing because they were great produce) and the hash brown was fried until it became a piece of cardboard. The only decent thing was the bread, which I’m not sure if they bake in house, but if they do, maybe they should consider taking a step back and becoming a bakery. Definitely...

I believe that when a place is busy it means they deserve it. For this cafe this is an absolute true. Even though, I’m pretty sure you can get a table, since service is quite fast. What amazed me most is their high quality standards for such a quick service. I had the eggs Benny, with eggs poached to perfection, ham of great quality and very fresh, but the best part is surely the house made hollandaise. Coffee, as always, excellent. Right temperature, perfectly brewed. My wife had the croissant, also up to their standards, and freshly squeezed juice, which is usually a gold finding for her in this area. Luckily enough I live nearby to visit this cafe more often. If you’re in the area, should do it too. Also important to highlight the price is an absolute bargain for what...

I was really looking forward to a lovely breakfast and a great cup of coffee after all the reviews and following their Instagram. Sadly the coffee was disappointing and almost as pale as the milk itself. It had next to no strength, flavour or complexity. I was tempted to ask for a second shot of espresso but the service was average and it seemed the staff really weren’t bothered by your presence. I’m not sure if this was a once off - it may depend on the barista on shift at the time either way there should be some sort of continuity. The menu sounds packed full of flavour, but when our food arrived we found it to be relatively plain and really lacking in flavour. Sadly we wouldn’t return or recommend the cafe as - much as we wanted...

Love me some Harvest Bread. I've been going to Harvest for some years since their Cafe was un Cotton Tree. This particular day I was attending my first aid nearby, so I called in to HB to order ahead and pay for some lunch to have takeaway later in the day. Staff were warm and welcoming. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich on freshly baked Wholegrain Sourdough and a Passionfruit White Choc Brownie. The Chicken sandwich was so filling, fresh and tasty. I loved that it was jam packed with a hearty piece of grilled Chicken, Bacon, avocado, greens. And the fresh sourdough was so good. The Passionfruit Brownie was yum. I loved the passionfruit white choc combo. In the past I have had their muffins, Salads which are also good. Highly recommend!! 🥰

My choice was a “protein “breakfast . I added the tomatoes to this dish . I was going to swap it out for the beans but they don’t do swap outs . The beans were very nice as they were really like savoury dish with more ingredients including what was like a nice tomato relish - a nice recipe . How ever this dish does not come with toast so I did request some toast . Their breads are very nice . Coffee was good so I had another 😊.nice selection of cakes too . Parking no problem. This breakfast was certainly filling . Would like to give them a 41/2 star. Back again this morning for one of my favourites white chocolate brownie with nuts on top and a nice double shot flat white 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Used to love coming here for breakfast and brunch, back from when it was in Cotton Tree and still in the Kontiki building. Sadly, menu changes and fluctuations in quality have seen us move on. Would routinely spend $80+ on breakfast as a couple with meals, coffees (still some of the best on the coast !) and juices but with less build your own plate options the cost isn't justifiable. Staff can be outright sour at times when taking an order, which is a shame - fake a smile if you have to! Recommend the blueberry pancakes (get the lemon curd too!), sweet potato waffles and reuben. Hoping they can bounce back to their former glory.
