However, unlike a proper Dubai bar, it's thick because of the massive layer of chocolate underhand. The actual pistachio and knafeh mixture is lacking. There was no taste of pistachio and the chocolate itself is very sweet - making a portion of one square a bit difficult to eat. I ended up digging out the pistachio/images mixture to see if I was just taste blind but no, the mixture itself is pretty solid, also a little sweet but not overpoweringly. The bar would be 20x better if not for the huge chunk of chocolate taking up the bottom.

Read moreI visited this shop - had to go down past the toilets and bins to get to it - but inside was nice. They had contractors working in there who kept coming and going in a tight space, and talking about their free chocolates. It was very off-putting.
I was offered one taster and the product is quite nice, and attractively presented.
The problem came when it was time to pay. I need a tax invoice but they require my email address to send it to me. They can't print it nor hand write it.
It got escalated to 3 people, each of them only saying the same thing: "We can email you" as if this is an acceptable situation to get a receipt. In the age of data harvesting and cyber crime, it should not be the only way to prove your purchase.
