I loved the venue it’s really special, and I was really happy to see vegan options on the menu. I usually don’t like to give negative reviews of small businesses and I will say that I still enjoyed venue and will return however on this occasion My pizza was unfortunately inedible by anyone at our table because the spice level was so hot. Whilst this was partly my fault as I ordered the spicy jackfruit pizza, it did not have the flame icon next to it like another pizza on the menu does, and I specifically ordered it without jalapeños (which they repeated back to me) thinking that it would not be so hot then, however they still served it with jalapeños. Even after picking all of those off, the sauce was so incredibly hot that even those at our table who are comfortable with quite a lot of heat found it too hard to eat. I will come back again but next time I’d try another pizza. It would be great though if the menu could be updated and clear about this eg with flame icon, and language to warn that the spiciness is extreme. Or alternatively dial it down to an edible level of heat. It was too expensive to order another pizza to replace the one that I couldn’t eat. I’d still recommend visiting because overall I liked the experience, so give them a go just be careful of spicy pizzas as IMO they’re hotter than what...
Read moreWe looked at reviews online before booking during our overnight stay nearby. They showed 5 stars almost across the board making us very happy to book. When we arrived the atmosphere was great, we were attended to quickly with outside dining. We overheard the wait for pizza dishes was 35-50 minutes including they'd run out of ingredients for other dishes on the menu early. We accepted this for the evening. However I'm not sure if that's a common thing or just because of the long weekend public holiday. During the hour-long wait for two small pizzas we noticed takeaway meals were going out. We felt but unsure entirely if takeaway was being prioritised over dine in customers. When our prosciutto and rocket and Neapolitan pizzas came out we noticed the Neapolitan had copious amounts of cheese and no basil. We weren't going to send it back as we had waited an hour for our small pizzas. I also found they could maybe simply the prosciutto and rocket minimising the capers etc on it. However the dough was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the base. The atmosphere is very nice and I believe they're really onto things there. We may sound a little critical but we've had a couple high bars set from our locals in a big city. You could tell everyone was working hard and take my hat off to them up in...
Read moreThe service was great we were greeted with a smile and friendly hello and the staff were very friendly, my partner ordered a mojito which she was very happy with. Starting with the good part of the food the arancini was delicious, rice was cooked perfectly plenty of flavour and not dry in the centre and a great size. We wanted to love the pizza and garlic bread but unfortunately these items were just a bit too burnt, the dough was still fairly raw in the middle with the outside crusts being fairly burnt and the not nice Charcoal spots from the dough bubbles. My partner's pizza had far to much rocket on top of the pizza we understand this was for decoration but sometimes less is more. The pepperoni pizza could stand to use a better product given its malany and the price of the pizza sourcing more local better ingredients might be a better option. The sauce for the pizza could have had more flavour and tasted more like blitzed tomatos and nothing more. All in all great service and some of the menu items were nice, if more care is taken in the ingredients and cooking of the pizza and garlic bread this could easily be a 5...
