My husband and I went to Rafters for lunch today. We had to wait to be served as the manager on duty was gossiping with another customer. We ordered a pork roast, coffee and cake and a filo. We received lamb roast. The manager said we ordered wrong and was very argumentative about it until she looked what she wrote and found out she made the mistake. She then went to get the pork. After waiting a long time we asked where it was, she said "Oh I forgot it" she left the cracking off and once again started telling us that we didn't order it. When it eventually came it was cold. I ordered a latte with the cake we received a iced coffee i took it back and once again she told the staff member that is what I ordered until she looked at her notes. I asked for the owners name she was so rude and standing with her hands on her hips saying why do you want that, you couldn't want to complain over getting the wrong food. After a lot of verbal abuse from her, she eventually wrote down a phone number and supposedly the name of the owner the phone number turned out to be the shop...
Read moreI love going into rafters as the staff is great and enjoy the food and my husband and I have kept going there but in the times we have been there we always get our coffees and prepared sandwiches long before any hot food is served to us. We understand that it gets busy and we are quite happy to wait our but the food hot or cold should be served together. Also we often get our order mixed up and today I noticed that drink orders and food orders are written in two separate columns on a blank note pad which could lead to one or other order not having order number details on both orders. Maybe one proper order pad be used so orders aren't mixed or missed and using a different form of communication to get the hot drinks made as the food comes out. I'm sorry this is only constructive criticism but feel it would be beneficial to your business, your girls work very hard but they need a better way to synchronise the...
Read moreI have been going to Rafters at Kawana for 20 years or more. Today I went for my normal milkshake which I do 3 times a week. I had to wait a long time to get the milkshake, but that's OK as they were busy. When I finally got the milk shake it was only two thirds full when usually it's almost full. When I started to drink the milkshake, the flavoring was so weak that I placed it on the counter and told the staff that I wouldn't bother drinking it. It was the WORST milkshake that I have ever had, so I just accepted that I lost the $7 that I paid for it (overpriced compared to some other outlets). If the milkshake was good, I was happy to pay the $7. The milkshakes were always good at Rafters, but after today's experience, I will NEVER buy a milkshake there...
