I do not normally write reviews however I feel compelled to let management know of my experience. First time diner, visiting Sunshine Coast. Impressive entrance, however lots of people appeared to be lounging in a waiting area?? Once seated, we were continually harassed to place an order for food. As a small group ladies catching up after a long absence, I found this annoying, as we were sipping our drinks and chatting, in no big hurry to order. I need to note that we were never told either at time of booking or on arrival that we had a 2 hour time frame to enjoy our meal. Once order was placed, we ordered wine by glass-not bottle. During the course of our meal and drinks, we had a variety of wait staff- some were great and some had no idea about the food, nor the wine. At one point my wine was topped up before I had finished the glass and the quantity left in the glass was not allowed for. Our food was amazing - each plate was Devine. Can’t fault it. As I had completed my desert, while my friends were only half finished, we suddenly received our bill. Within 7 - 10 minutes, a waitress appeared with an eftpos machine asking us if we were ready to pay - I was still sipping my wine, while my friends were finishing desert and their own wine. I asked her if she was kicking us out and she said we only had a 2 hour booking! This is not what I’d expect From fine dining and paying over $300 for 3 girls to share an evening of food and wine. Recommend - NO Rant about the food - absolutely PRAISES...
Read moreDon’t think this is ‘just’ rice boi with table service. Rice boi is a great stop but this is an entirely different entity. Stopping for lunch the VERY dark concept initially was strange but after a while it was very welcome. The service was still finding its feet after less than a week of opening but was still good and will only improve. The wine list is expansive without being exceptional, the champagne menu being the exception; very strong and it complements the food exceptionally well. We mainly stuck to the ‘raw’ menu; caviar, tuna tartare, kingfish nummus. But also enjoyed the amazing ‘snack’ menu. Unfortunately the mud crab seemed to be off the menu. The differential of RB is its ingredient’s and it showed. If RB continues in its role of offering these premium ingredients and standing above the usual sunny coast offerings we will be very regular customers. A very welcome addition, please continue the premium ingredients sourced from the...
Read moreEdit. My previous review was under RB bar while this is under Rb dining same establishment Cheeky very cheeky Reposting as my previous review and possibly more bad reviews have been taken down, there was a lot more than 25 here originally. Dined here on a Thursday night and was all pleasant and shown to our table and given the obligatory glass of water, and that’s where it ended, 15mins later and server comes to top up water I asked “can we order drinks” and his abrupt reply was “is that a rhetorical question and I spose you want menus too” my wife and I were flabbergasted at this response and as he walked away so did we not experiencing RB dining that night and never will, the Kelly groups other establishments hey been great and the Greek and bocca are our highlights but for me it’s a big miss here and the fact they asked Google to have reviews taken down and don’t respond to customers bad critique makes...
