Swell Cafe — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Ordered a pre-made sandwich (the grab and go type in a triangular package). The girl who served me was very nice and polite. It was $11 which is not cheap, but that's what you pay at an airport these days. It has their cafe branded sticker on it. Problem is it had almost nothing on it whatsoever.

They've really gone to a lot of effort to make sure there was only the slightest smearing of egg and lettuce. And I think they must have acquired some type of micro shaving device to cut the tomato as thin as it was. And one flimsy very very thin piece of ham. Funny thing is it said "packed sandwich" on the box.

I understand prices are going to be high at an airport, but if you're going to charge that much at least deliver a product that people will be somewhat happy with. I may as well have ordered a couple of pieces of refrigerated bread. Even service station sandwiches are much better than this. Maybe try asking BP where they...

We had breakfast at this cafe before flying back to Sydney.

I ordered a big breakfast. the serving of egg and bacon was quite generous, with two big pieces of toast. Also a hash brown, tomato’s, mushroom and sausages was included. Pricing was on the high end although for an airport you can forgive this. The scrambled egg was slightly dry, still did the job. I think with a few tweaks , namely increasing the size of the veg sides, and presentation of the eggs, they would be nailing this . Coffee was acceptable as well.

Arrived at Maroochydore airport for the first plane out. Got into departures and went up to what I thought was the open cafe. Not so friendly man said 'not open till the lights overhead are on' - like I was supposed to know that - maybe a open/closed sign would be helpful. Or maybe open a little earlier so the first customers don't have to ask you numerous times "are you open". It's the only coffee shop, so a very captive audience. A smile would go a long way, especially since there is a sign up on the counter saying the exact saying - Smile. But the coffee was decent so that why the 3...
