TwinFins espresso Bar — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Writing on behalf of my partner: She always goes to Twinfins almost every Saturday after her community run. On Christmas day just gone, she received a long awaited present from me which was a tall glass double walled TakeAway cup to use whenever she goes out to get her once-a-week coffee from a cafe that uses her favourite roaster (Twinfins uses Campos roasters if any of you readers want to know). This is the third time ever using the new cup, and second time at Twinfins. Two weeks prior to today's visit, she visited Twinfins, ordered her usual hot latte and gave them the cup. They made the order and gave her an iced latte. Once it was brought to their attention that the order was completely wrong, they begrudgingly took back her cup to remake a hot coffee, as that's what she ordered and what they had written down as the order received. Fast forward to today, she gave them her cup with her usual hot latte. They made the order and actually thought it was OK to hand over the mega frothy coffee you can see in the first pic. After my partner took it back to remake, they were mad again like last time. It's as though their incompetent coffee making skills are the customer's fault and we should not expect a properly made coffee. Once the server brought out the coffee and put it on the table, the cup was strategically placed on the table as you'll soon hear. The cup was very dirty on the outside with a lot of sticky residue and she couldn't see any of the contents properly. As it was a rainy day, she used the rain water on the table to clean the outside of my cup. That was when she realised there was a new crack. When considering what to do about this, she kept looking over to the staff work station and notice them looking back at her but would look away as she glanced their way. She took it back to them and as approaching, one of the work girls took off out the back. She brought it to the attention of another worker who flat out denied cracking it. She explained that it was not cracked before she handed it to them the first time. So either that girl was flat out lying or didn't know about it but either way, she was persistent to keep saying that it did not happen by them. The cup does not serve it's insulating properties since it is now cracked. To make matters worse, this staff told my partner "at least it's not leaking. The inside isn't cracked". Then proceeded to say "I understand if you don't want to come back here, but here's a card to get you a free coffee". Needless to say, she will never be going back there. edit: this review is not posting with the pics attached. I will try to attach pics again soon.

EDIT: So after leaving a review here, Bree (the owner) replied here with her contact information. I contacted her and she expressed her apologies and offered to replace the broken cup. After a few back and forth emails sorting the specific details, she replaced my broken cup with an identical new cup and had it delivered to me direct. I personally found Bree a pleasure to deal with. If her staff could develop the same attitude as Bree, TwinFins would have the potential to be an awesome cafe to be a regular again. We will visit again in the future to see for ourselves if the staff professionalism...

This morning we had the pleasure of eating at @twinfins.espresso.bar - A serious must try if you haven’t been! They have tons of bagels to choose from SEPARATELY from what you choose inside! I love this idea, because it means you can go for a “poppy seed” or “everything” bagel without being restricted to what’s inside it on the menu. Our bagels came and warm and delicious, the insides cooked great. The iced berry matcha drink was super interesting with a unique flavour, however our mocha was a little milky for our liking (just needed to be frothed a little longer - but no biggie!) 😊

The owner Bree was incredibly friendly. The other girls working were also friendly. The atmosphere was nice and chill, with ample outside seating and basically opposite the beach!

Hey. So I went and I enjoyed my food and drink enough, however when I got there I was told they didn’t have what I wanted, which I understand, it happens, but I will say the lady serving me didn’t seem the friendliest about it. Again, it happens. I sat outside with my friend only for another girl to come out and say again they don’t have the second thing I ordered. Annoying but whatever it is what it is. She was actually really nice about it. The first lady brings our drinks down and puts a latte in front of me and I ask her nicely if she meant chai latte and she kinda savagely says “no you ordered a latte” but she changes it and I felt really awkward and questioned myself but I literally don’t even drink coffee and I’m so sure I got a chai. She also gave both my friend and I small drinks even though we ordered and PAID for the large but at that point I was a bit nervous to correct her so I just took it 😂🥲 food was still pretty good and I wouldn’t have been even writing this review if the...
