4 people went for lunch Sunday 4th August. Ordered at 1305 , told after placing the order there was a 45 minute wait. Although we considered that quite a long wait for fish and chips we thought it must be good so decided to wait.We had number 159 , after over an hour thought I would head up to the servery to see how it was going. 163 came out so thinking I had missed it I asked the young boy serving. He said he would check but never came back .Then 152 came out ? so after a few more minutes went inside to check. We had been waiting 1hour 15 mins by this time. Spoke to the lady who served me, I explained we were told 45 mins so already 30 mins beyond that. She checked and said it would be coming out shortly or we could have a refund. I explained after already waiting ,by now ,1hr 20 it would have been unacceptable. When the food did come the chips were just warm and the fish was overcooked. The breadcrumbs were dark brown instead of golden and rock hard. There was a family with a toddler who had also been waiting over an hour and understandingly the toddler was getting a bit restless. The mum went up to the counter, not sure if she took the refund. If we were told over an hour in the first place we would have gone elsewhere. Talking to another costomer I said must be a particularly busy Sunday, but he said no its always like this .It needs to be sorted .It's definitely not acceptable and I will warn any friends not to go there...

Three times now I have bought a so called "full serve " of calamari. It's about $16.90 for around 150g of crumbed product that costs less than $10.00 per kilo wholesale. Each time my serving has come literally drowning in excess oil making the pieces at the bottom inedible. This has happened even when I made a special request that the food be properly drained. The business changed hands and almost everything on the menu changed also. It appears that many of the offerings are sourced from different wholesalers, the portion sizes have become noticeably smaller and prices have gone up by around 30%.......in truth almost $17 for a miserable serving of very tired, tasteless crumbed Arrow Squid mis named 'calamari ' is as big a rip-off as you will find anywhere on the coast. If the food was good quality, then the greed would be tolerable. But the food is at best very average to poor quality. In short it really is amazing how many have rated this place highly, and it goes to show that there are those out there who are prepared to pay through the nose for poor quality in terms of serving size and quality, then stupid enough to think it's a good deal and post a monosyllabic, ineloquent 5 star review. There are better places to eat at...

Ordered the Pack for 2 which comes with crumbed fish, asked if it could be battered fish and was told the individual items that make up the Pack for 2 had to be put through separately in order to have battered fish, paid $10 extra to get battered fish. Odd process but would have been fine if the meal was good expect it wasn't. The batter was soggy and didn't even stay on the fish - had to scrape off the batter to make it eddible; fish was overcooked, dry and oily on top of this. Calamari was limp and oily, neither of us ate the calamari. Chips were well seasoned but soggy /not crispy. Prawn cutlet was excellent as were the potato scallops we also purchased but considering the prawn cutlet makes up the tiniest portion of the Pack for 2/meal, we were very disappointed. Don't normally leave reviews but it was that disappointing and the fact we paid extra for something we couldn't even eat.. Would not recommend and...

Went for a Cruz on my Harley it was getting late so I decided to not to cook dinner & got fish & chips for my 6 Gifted kids. My 4 boys love hot chips & my Gurl'zz. The Gurl'zz adventure off to fish now, kids with the Spectrum have overload with there sensory, so fish can be alot but slowly they are trying. Service was fine 🙂 polite, a little busy (that's great as lockdown has crush our local businesses) but plenty of seats. They even have upstairs as well. They even sell alcohol,,, hmm a nice crisp beer or a wine 🍷a variety of alcohol drinks & juices, frizz drinks, H2O/water... While your waiting, there is a park across from the Fisherie or even lay out a blanket & have a picnic across the road, after collecting your meal.🙏😍

Decent enough fish n chips away from main drag of Mooloolaba and opposite a park. They may allow BYO as I saw quite a few older locals with eskies and wine. The guy with tatts on the register was helpful and friendly. Calamari was really good, the cod was nice but not our fav, and the beef burger was a bit sloppy with too much jammed in and nothing special about the patty. Tartare sauce was a bit stodgy and home made. The youngish girl that gave the cooked food had a lot of attitude and stuffed up the order and left something out. Had to go back to collect the burger and chips and didn’t really get an apology or explanation. I would go back to try the fresh prawns. The one saving grace is that it was quite cheap.

I wouldn't be rushing here again. Spent $130 on a lunch consisting of 3 bits of snapper which was barely edible being quite tough and clearly not fresh and at nearly $16 a piece, a serve of Calamari which was ok but not outstanding, a serve of chips which were terrible which are hard to get wrong and a kg of tiger prawns which were the only highlight of the meal. Add in a seafood sauce that not only tasted nothing like seafood sauce but had a weird thick texture. Very disappointing meal considering the access to fresh seafood up here. Do yourself a favour and try somewhere else.
