Owner is absolutely rude and heartless. Went there for my wife’s 40th birthday . She had wanted to go there for a long time and I thought it would be the perfect time to try it out. My wife our kids, my mum and dad and my sister and her family went there. Had a 5.30- 7.30pm seating. After spending just under $500 we asked for the cake to be brought out so we could sing happy birthday to my wife and cut the cake. The owner comes out to the counter and looks at me half way through singing happy birthday and says you have 5 minutes left. As in 5 min left in your seating. How rude and heartless can you be. We didn’t want to spend a single more Minute in there after that. We didn’t finish singing Happy birthday or even get to cut the cake. My dad is a slow walker after having two strokes and it prob took 15min to get him in the car out the front and there were no people waiting at the front of the restaurant to be seated at our table. We were very polite all night and there was absolute no reason for him to act like that. He ruined my wife’s day and hours later she is still crying. Food wasn’t bad but...
Read moreHad an amazing lunch at Billy’s. We started with some homemade bread and tzatziki dip, the bread was so fresh and you could tell straightaway it was homemade, the dip was also very refreshing and paired nicely with the bread.
For mains we got the fish special which is a whole grilled snapper. The fish was so delicate and basically melted in my mouth. The seasoning was just right and gave the fish a lot of flavour. We also had the beef moussaka which was incredible. The eggplant and potatoes were so soft and the beef bolognese on top was very rich. Finally we had the chicken gyros as well, the chicken was very juicy and all the veggies were fresh.
The service was amazing and attentive as well. Always checking on us to make sure we were liking each dish and Billy also came out to check on us which is lovely. They also cater to coeliacs and have plenty of gluten free options. Definitely recommend trying this amazing family restaurant if you’re...
Read moreWe have been 3 times and eaten on 2 of those occasions. This is a very popular restaurant. On first glance the decor is Mediterranean and fresh so good start. Menu is very much what you would expect and good. Presentation of food is good. Drinks also good. We found it (and the owner) noisy. The second visit (once the novelty was over) was not as good as the first. The specials, which we are always drawn to, were attractive but didn't quite deliver. We called in on the way from work and were treated (by the owner) most unwelcoming and unpleasantly. Even though the waitress checked the book and showed us to a table the owner came out and told us if we couldn't be finished in one hour we would have to leave. He made it very clear he didn't like "walk-ins". We left. He might have been having a bad day. It is unlikely we...
