i am just so upset this is not the place i dreamt it would be! i work down the road and i am vegan so when i saw a vegan place opening up i was sooo excited. now, i’ve given it a good go. i’ve tried their smoothies, a burger, french toast, açai bowl. all of them average or below average. the burger i couldn’t eat it was loaded with too much stuff, too much sauce, the whole thing fell apart and was a big old mess. the smoothies, french toast were okay, i could eat and drink it but i wouldn’t buy again. bland. you guys are so lucky to have an opportunity to make something amazing so i want you to know the truth. do you guys taste what you’re making?? i would suggest you do so because you could really make this work. the açai bowl was probably the one thing i’d get again but i am torn between supporting a place promoting what i believe to be healthier, cruelty-free options and actually being able to eat the food.
also, find their service is very slow! and one day i ordered something, was sitting inside waiting for 25 minutes (was getting take away). i finally asked where my food was and it had been sitting behind the counter in an uber eats delivery bag...
i find the staff are...
Read morePicture this. It’s a nice Autumn’s morning. You’re on your way to the gym, about to get your once per day caffeine hit. You’re frothing at the mouth at the thought of your morning coffee.
You walk in, it’s 9:15am so all the desk jockeys are already at work. You have the cafe to yourself, the barista himself takes your order and you have his full attention.
You order a long black coffee. 3/4 full, a dash of cold milk.
The coffee is made within a minute of ordering. What could go wrong?
A few minutes later, after adequate time for your hot coffee to cool down, you go to take a sip of your coffee. The coffee hits your tongue sooner than it should. Weird. You taste it, it’s hotter than it should be. Taste wise, it’s missing something.
You take the lid off. Yes, it’s a long black coffee. But there’s no milk. It’s full to the brim.
Not a strong start to the day. The coffee was...
Read moreI tried this café for breakfast on Tuesday around 10.30 am. I was hungry and wanted a decent meal. I have been to this café twice in the past for a coffee and they were great. All the staff are warm, friendly and helpful and have great smiles when they serve you. I ordered the Haloumi and Beets Breakfast, consisting of 3 large, grilled, slices of Halloumi, 3 slices of beetroot, 3 slices of toast, lettuce with balsamic and a container of Dahl to spread on the toast instead of butter. It all tasted delicious and fresh. I washed it down with a Soy Cappuccino which was well made and tasty as it should be. All came to $20.50 which is good value for North Shore. I found the menu caters for most vegetarian tastes and there is a large selection of cakes that also look healthy as well. I will go back again to try other items on the menu. A meal here is highly...
