Adore Espresso — Restaurant in Sydney

I'm really surprised by the positive reviews. I went to this cafe several times over a period of six months and their coffees were always burnt and overly acidic, and the one time I bought some cake it was quite bad. However, this isn't actually about that, as most cafes serve underwhelming coffee- it's honestly more about the experience than the taste.

What was really off-putting here was the gentleman behind the counter. He was of medium height, had long dark hair with some greys tied in a ponytail. He looked carefully at my loyalty card, skipped the free one, stamped the first cup on the next line and handed it back to me wordlessly with a meaningful look on his face that I couldn't quite decipher.

The best cake shop in the town. I ordered a custom made cake for my anniversary and it turned out to be wonderful. First of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful with choosing everything. Secondly, they made the cake really yummy, the best amount of sweetness and really beautiful decoration. By far this has been the best cake I have tasted after a really long time.
