Akira Sushi — Restaurant in Sydney

Been here twice, once for just sushi and another time for their katsu don, and bento. I can say that the sushi was better than I’d expected. The rice tasted good. My katsu don also tasted really good — it felt like I was eating a home-cooked meal.

I’m disappointed to add that on my last visit, as the shop was closing, I bought one of their sushi boxes. It was the salmon nigiri. I could tell the rice was old. There was a faint smell that stirred up my instincts to stop eating. I doubt I would’ve had a terrible stomachache if I ate the whole box, but why risk it?

great place to buy from! there's a pretty large range of food you can get here, and the meals are always fresh (and delicious!) while staff are friendly. the prices also aren't bad for what you get, either. the bento boxes are well-presented and are satiating, and the (rice) don bowls have gorgeous presentation (i'm personally a fan of the salmon sashimi don). i always look forward to getting something...
