We had an unforgettable dining experience at Al Aseel Liverpool, located inside the beautiful Paper Mill precinct. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the vibrant atmosphere, stylish decor, and warm hospitality from the staff. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and each one exceeded our expectations. The lamb shoulder was the absolute star — incredibly tender, slow-cooked to perfection, and seasoned beautifully. It just melted in the mouth. The mixed skewers were juicy, smoky, and full of that authentic charcoal-grilled flavor. The mansaf was rich, hearty, and comforting — a true showcase of traditional Jordanian flavor with tender lamb, fragrant rice, and that signature yogurt sauce. The garlic prawns were another standout — cooked just right, full of bold garlic flavor, and served sizzling hot. We also enjoyed a variety of classic Lebanese dips like hommos and baba ghanouj, along with crisp, refreshing salads that balanced out the richness of the mains. Portions were generous, presentation was on point, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Whether you’re going for a casual family dinner or a special occasion, this place delivers both quality and authenticity. Highly recommend Al Aseel Liverpool to anyone looking for a top-tier Lebanese feast in a relaxed yet classy setting. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu!

It’s very easy to locate the restaurant, but there is barely any parking. The service happened straight away and the food came out as soon as possible. The drinks were a little slow. We ordered the following dishes: KIBBEH NAYEH, LAMB SHAWARMA, SHISH BARAK, MAKANEK and TOUM. For drinks, we ordered the Lychee Licious. We would recommend the KIBBEH NAYEH and the LAMB SHAWARMA. We weren’t too fussed on the rest of it as it was too overwhelming and tangy with the lemon flavours. The same went for the mocktails. We didn’t taste any lychee whatsoever but the lemon was overbearing. We did encounter a mouse 🐁 roaming around on our visit in the restaurant so that was a turn off. It was also unfortunate that we didn’t know a dessert menu existed. We weren’t offered one after our meal. I would say you were paying a lot for small portions when you can get quality and flavour at other Lebanese restaurants.

My recent visit to AlAseel Restaurant in Liverpool, situated within the PaperMill complex, was a bit of a letdown. I couldn’t help but notice a distinct lack of ambiance. The decor did not carry the same level of charm and authenticity found in other branches, which usually contribute significantly to the overall dining atmosphere. The service was mediocre, and while the food was nice, the portions were disappointingly small. It was surprising to find that the main dishes did not come with any sides. This lack of inclusion certainly detracted from the value for money. The service may be attributed to the staff’s inexperience, as there were several errors with our order, and it was noticeable there was a lack of menu knowledge and attentiveness. The overall experience was unfortunately underwhelming.

No fault of the restaurant , but almost impossible to find parking.

The Greenacre restaurant is much preferred. This slightly upscale restaurant is not worth the money. No service. We continually had to ask for more bread and toum which never arrived. We placed our order and our drinks never came. Fries were delivered before all our meals. Which made them cold for when we did get the food. I asked the server to follow up our drinks. They were out of our watermelon juice. This probably took over fifteen minutes. The staff seemed busy , but the restaurant was not very full. They could make a lot more money by coming back and asking people how the food is would they like more drinks?Would they like to order more food?

The medley of skewers was nice. The meat was really tender. The lamb was not extreme in flavor. I really appreciated this.

The dips, which were ordered separately were very small in size. The fried pita on the side didn't equate to one whole piece. The pepper and chilli dip was delicious. The presentation was nice with fresh seeds of pomegranate.

The hummous and babaganoush were almost too creamy. The felafel and tahini were nice.

Compliments on the toum which was well balanced. The garlic was very mild instead of usually having that strong acrid garlic taste.

The chicken wings had a fabulous little bit of chilli sauce on it. If I ever saw a waiter, I would have ordered more in some chilly on the side. I am not a big lover of chicken wings but these were delicious and would definitely order a whole bucket.

A friend ordered the barramundi. The presentation was excellent. The fish was a bit fishy tasting. The rice which I think was mansaf was not that great. A bit too firm. The gravy did not make sense. Fish and gravy?? Tasted...
