Campsie Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Sydney

I have lived in Campsie for 5 years, and I have bought charcoal chicken from this shop many times. But I will no longer buy from this shop again due to their terribly deteriorating customer service. They have changed most of their staffs to the very young ones. There is a time I have been paid and waiting for my chips for nearly 20 mins while I saw many young girls walked in after me but gone with hot chips. Their explanation for this is those girls have ordered via phone beforehand. Their attitudes are really impolite.

Another time is that my husband bought half flat chicken. And its so funny that you have paid full price for the half chicken but they gave you 2 separated pieces of chicken breast. The half flat chicken was without thigh. It will very time consuming if you return to their shop to complain after arriving home.

In order not to feel angry of a business like this, better don't walk...

I have been eating at this place since 2005, and it is still to this day, the best hot chips I’ve ever had. I cannot stress how signature their hot chips really are, the chicken salt etc. You will not be disappointed. As for the chicken, stuffing, and lemon herb/garlic sauces, they are out of this world. I appreciate their consistency throughout all these years and I’ll be devastated if this place ever closed their doors.

On a seperate note, the only thing I wish they would work on is their customer service. Often at times, they are quite dismissive, rude, and not that friendly. You are losing and will continue to lose valuable customers, as many before me have mentioned.

It would be significantly beneficial for their overall reputation and business if their customer service was matched to the standard of their food, of which is what has essentially made them so successful over all...

Customer service is absolutely terrible.

The bald guy has a serious attitude problem and makes jokes to other employees about the customers while they are in the shop. They also don't take hygiene seriously as I saw the young lady texting on her smart phone then put it down to make a chicken wrap without gloves or washing her hands. Also if the bald guy is having a conversation with someone he knows you can expect to be waiting a while until he decides to serve you or the older lady has a moment to serve you. The chips are good but they're just regular McCain Chips that you could do yourself at home for much cheaper.

Overall the food is ok but it is the only place around that serves food like this and unfortunately the poor attitude makes it not worth...
