First time here yesterday: Location - sat outside with our dog, was beautiful out in the sun and fresh air but you get the occasional loud hoon traffic. Service - staff were friendly but forgetful, orders were taken in the wrong order and mixed up with other tables (we were later charged for a drink we didn't have) because there were no table numbers Food - delicious, we had the scrambled egg and ago crepe with salad and the chorizo burger. Both had fresh ingredients. Cost - had to go inside to pay (even though they said it was table service, guessing they forgot about us). Was overcharged for a drink we didn't order but at the time I didn't think about it. Overall a pleasant experience but more attention to detail with service would have been better.

This time here for breakfast. Strawberry Pancakes and Double Bacon and Egg Roll. Lemonade presented in a glass with ice, found hair on top of the ice 🧊. Pancakes a little doughier tasting than I'd like it. Walnuts nice, crunchy with toffee or sugary coating. Bacon and Egg Roll on par with what you'd find in other cafe's. Wait time wasn't as long this time round. One more star added. Previous review Feb2022 We had to wait quite a while for 2 milkshakes. :0( The Cafe was not busy and people ahead of us were only ordering coffee and something small or premade. The menu has changed since I was last here over 3 years ago. I used to take our exchange students here for a treat but I won't do this if we ever get the chance to host again.

Cafe on the Main Street of Camden with outside and inside seating available. It has a calm tranquil atmosphere perfect for breakfast/ lunch. The staff were friendly, very attentive and polite. The menu is diverse and caters to many different tastes. The food was nice, lamb was soft, fritters had lovely flavour, the pumpkin in the Lamb wrap added a subtle sweetness and the French toast was fluffy and sweet. Only complaints would be that the beans in the hot pot were a bit basic for “house made beans” and just tasted like they were seasoned with BBQ sauce also we waited awhile for our smoothies getting them at the end once we finished our meals.

Decided to give you guys another chance today as maybe I was unfair last time due to it being Easter and you said you were short staffed.

Here was my experience…

Last time you said “we appreciate your feedback” but clearly not enough to pass it on to your team.

Had to get up to get our own cutlery AGAIN.

The same waiter I commented about last time, did the SAME thing he did last time, carried a hot plate of food over my the top of my sons head (and this time my wife’s as well)

He also stood at our table, didn’t say anything and looked at us with a blank expression (im being very careful not to use any insulting language) and we had to prompt him to tell him where to put each plate. Instead of him asking “who’s having the big breakfast” he just stood there in silence looking at us.

On top of that my big breakfast felt a bit small but I thought nothing of it. Until after I finished it, the guy next to me ordered the same thing, he got 2 hashbrowns, I got 1, he got beans, I got none, he got a full chorizo sausage and I only got 2 slices of one and my eggs were bland and boring with no seasoning whatsoever, and everything was extremely oilly. $32 for a meal that was only worth $18 at best.

This time you guys weren’t “busy” like you said on Easter so you can’t blame it on that.

Really think you need to work on improving what your team are doing...

What a horrible experience, this place used to be nice years ago when the owner Ben was around, I would come regularly and really enjoyed everything, now I come once a week for a coffee however it's changed, the food it's absolutely terrible and I put up with it first few visits but I won't be anymore as food and drinks have not been up to standards at all and I Overhead the male staff swearing about me because I complained for the FIRST time ever. Try say that stuff to the customers face , such a big man!! , it's not a nice way to handle a costumer complaint when you have made a mistake , I own my own business and would never treat a customer the way you did, I am also a practicing psychic reader with loads of love and light to offer, I'm not one for confrontation but I'm extremely upset in regards to colourful words I overheard from the guy. I Feel sorry for the waitresses , they are lovely and they have to serve that slop you make because you can't cook, the Food is aweful, and your manners are even worse. Also, The juices have been off lately, I went home and threw up after my juice the other day, be careful they use any scraps to put together a juice. I will not be returning EVER again!! How disappointing, there are not too many nice cafes left in Camden besides Jally's where you get fresh food and drinks and...

Unfortunately an extremely disappointing experience at Back Galley this morning. As a table of 5 there to celebrate a birthday we waited over an hour and half for food. 2 from our party received their food, the remaining 3 asked for a refund 40 mins after the first two finished eating because no food had arrived. Tables who arrived after us, had eaten and left prior to any food arriving to our table. Had we been told at the time of ordering there was a wait, there would have been no problem to wait, however expectations are not properly set for customers.

We could have let that slide, but what was the worst aspect was the absolutely disgusting attitude from the chef who was yelling and berating the young staff when they asked when food was ready.

He is a bully, and clearly a sub par chef who clearly cannot manage his workload and takes it out on the young staff. Absolutely horrible and he ought to be ashamed of himself.

If your kids work on the weekend at Back Galley, I would encourage them to complain to the owners, that treatment by the chef is absolutely not on. I feel sorry for the young staff who are doing their best in a busy cafe on the weekends with no Management or owners to guide them.

I’m not usually one to complain, but after seeing the manner in which staff were treated today, I felt...
