I have never ever been so disgusted in my life . After a beautiful night with friends at volcanoes we decided to visit the club . Mind you volcanos do not serve alcohol. So we decided to go to the club roof top . We had one drink and were disappointed with the cocktail finding it too sweet . So we decided to go down stairs to the club to have a drink . When I was signing in I mention to my friend my head hurts from that drink feeling bit yuk not to mention I am 53 and also get hot flushes . As I was walking in the guy at the door must of heard what I said and assumed I was drunk . I told him the honest truth that really haven’t drank much . Then he said I was wobbling. I couldn’t believe what he said . I know I was rubbing my knees at one point but I wouldn’t call that wobbling. I told him I had problems with my knees. But he still wouldn’t let me in he said he would call the manager. I thought great common sense will prevail. As this gentleman was only young . But oh my goodness . This lady said straight away . With her discretion You have had to much to drink and I am going to have to get you to leave . Her name was Cassandra . At this point I was furious. Thinking are these people delusional. Can they really not tell if a person is sober or intoxicated . Then my partner step in because at this stage he was furious too . Especially because he doesn’t drink and didn’t like the fact that they were accusing me of being intoxicated after 3 zip of a cocktail we didn’t drink . I also asked them to call upstairs to check if they didn’t believe me . But they refused . They were adamant that I was intoxicated. Then they tried to use the excuse that my partner was aggressive that he raised his voice . Mind you my partner only interfered because he noticed how frustrated I was trying to explain to these people that I didn’t drink . I couldn’t talk any sense into these people .Maybe then realising I wasn’t intoxicated they started to try to point the finger at him. I really think this Casandra girl who calls her self a manager really doesn’t know the difference from intoxicated or sober . she honestly had no idea . This girl really need to have more training she was obviously inexperienced. I would love love someone from management to give me a call . Now If i was intoxicated would I be able to sit here at 1230 at night and write a review.. ??? Casandra you really need to go learn about drunken behaviour . One day you will really push someone’s buttons . Being accused of being intoxicated is not very nice especially at my age . Please management would love to have a chat. After a beautiful dinner night with friends this Cassandra lady really put a damper on our night and caused me anxiety and stress . You have my email I’d love to hear from someone . Also I did notice she was wearing a camera so maybe you should check that to see if I was intoxicated oh and the cameras in...
Read moreFor anyone expecting a fair, inclusive, and enjoyable night out, Bankstown Sports Club is not the place to go.
This venue has a repeated pattern of selectively enforcing rules, profiling guests, and making certain patrons feel unwelcome. Security and staff seem to operate on their own set of unwritten rules, deciding who stays and who goes—not based on actual disruptions, but on their own biases.
We've given this venue more than enough chances, but the experience is always the same. The moment you stand out, engage with people, or simply enjoy yourself a little too much, you become a target.
On our last visit, a bartender openly admitted that no complaints had been made about us, yet still found it necessary to express her personal disapproval of our presence. Meanwhile, we were actively engaged in conversations with the very people around us—who had no issue whatsoever. So what exactly was the problem?
Is it that guests are expected to sit silently and gamble all night instead of actually socializing? Because that’s the only logical conclusion when the only guests singled out are the ones not glued to the machines.
The most infuriating part is how this venue weaponizes RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) policies to justify kicking people out—not based on genuine intoxication, but on a completely arbitrary standard. You’re welcome to spend your money, buy drinks, and support the business, but the second staff decide you’ve “had enough,” you’re suddenly an issue. It’s never the other guests deciding this—it’s always the staff.
The entire system is a trap. Theyp encourage you to spend, drink, and engage, but at any moment, your night can be cut short under the guise of RSA, not because you’re a danger, not because you’re disrupting anyone, but because they’ve decided you don’t belong.
This isn’t an isolated incident—it happens every single time. We’ve been followed by security, singled out by staff, and held to different standards than other guests. The message is clear: some people are welcome here, and others are tolerated until they’re not.
If you believe in equal treatment, fair service, and the right to enjoy a night out without being unfairly targeted, then this venue is not for you. 2025 should not be a year where these exclusionary tactics are still happening—but at Bankstown Sports Club, they clearly...
