I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to visit Bar Cortona located at 33-35 Rochester St, Homebush NSW 2140. I regret to say that my overall experience at this café was extremely disappointing. From the moment I stepped foot inside, it was evident that this was not a place that values customer satisfaction.
First and foremost, the service was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked basic courtesy. It took an incredibly long time for someone to even acknowledge my presence, and when they finally did, their attitude was far from welcoming. It was evident that the staff had no desire to assist or accommodate customers.
Furthermore, the quality of the food and beverages was subpar at best. I ordered a coffee and a sandwich, and both were underwhelming. The coffee was lukewarm and lacked flavor, while the sandwich was poorly made with stale bread and tasteless fillings. It felt as though no effort was put into the preparation or presentation of the dishes.
The atmosphere of the café was equally disappointing. The seating arrangements were cramped and uncomfortable, making it difficult to enjoy a meal in peace. Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired. The tables were dirty and the floor appeared to have not been properly cleaned in quite some time.
To make matters worse, the prices at Bar Cortona were completely unjustified given the lackluster experience. I felt as though I was paying a premium for mediocre food and service, which left me feeling dissatisfied and cheated.
Overall, my visit to Bar Cortona was an unpleasant and regrettable experience. The combination of poor service, mediocre food, uncomfortable atmosphere, and inflated prices makes this café far from recommendable. I would strongly advise potential customers to seek out alternative dining options in the area for a more enjoyable and...

Read moreHad lunch at BC last week - both the meals we ordered did not match what was written on the menu. The southern fried chicken burger is described as 'Southern Style Chicken Burger with American cheese, pickles and spicy slaw', however when I received the meal, it had avocado in it, which is something I don't like. The bun was also stale, chicken was not fresh and there was no spicy slaw as described. The chicken parmi also did not match was was stated in the menu (Chicken Parmigiana - chicken schnitzel topped with Napoli sauce, eggplant, prosciutto & melted mozzarella, served with chips and salad). There was no prosciutto or eggplant and the chicken was also not fresh. I wrote to BC privately to tell them about our experience, however they have chosen to ignore my messages and not compensate me for incorrectly describing the meals. I was willing to give them another go if they at least showed some customer service. What would have happened if I was allergic to avocado? If you're in the area, there are other options such as Urbano, Cafe 41 and Anar to try out (highly recommend these cafes,...
