Bar Myla — Restaurant in Sydney

I recently stopped by Bar Myla, and it’s definitely worth a visit. The coffee is excellent—full-bodied and smooth, exactly what you’d expect from a place that knows its beans.

The food didn’t disappoint either. I had the schnitzel sandwich, and it was well-prepared and fresh. The menu offers a good variety, so there’s something for everyone.

What stood out most, though, was the staff. Friendly and quick, with a good sense of humor that kept things relaxed. They clearly enjoy what they do, and it makes for a welcoming vibe.

Visited Bar Myla yesterday and ordered a takeaway coffee. Staff must have forgotten my order and I had to prompt them to make it. Not overly efficient with only four customers present. Coffee took around 12min.

Decided to give them another chance the same day to see their vibe for the bar side of things. After both their Instagram/Google hours stating they were open, as well as an instagram story promoting their hours with a 'see you tonight' caption, they were not open at 5:30pm.

Walking past tonight (6pm), it looks like they are also shut (photo attached).

Poor form for a new business...

I love Bar Myla. I wish there was a place as great as this in my own city. While I was staying nearby in Sydney, I visited several times. The coffee is fantastic, and the food is just as good. The staff are super friendly, and it’s a bonus that they’re dog friendly too. They were even on a first-name basis with my sister’s dog, which I thought was such a nice personal touch.
