Bar Sport — Restaurant in Sydney

I was sitting there by the window at Bar Sport about to have my first sip of coffee when, a customer wacked open the slide door which sharply whacked my elbow leaving a sharp pain in my hand whilst spilling almost all of my coffee over myself as a result. I yelled out an expletive in pain as hot coffee poured over me whilst some middle class hipsters couple (customers) gave me a judging stare.

I went over to the counter and told the manager what happened only for him to reply to me in a rude tone "now you'll know NOT to sit there" at which point I was gobsmacked at the rudeness of that manager and the judgemental atmosphere of the patrons. The manager even went on to say "We hate the fans of Western Sydney Warriors".

If you are a larger person who doesn't conform to hipster or sport apparel then, be prepared for some insensitive and rude behaviour from the staff...

Haven’t been here for several years and I see it has changed hands.Coffee was bearable but let me suggest how you make a bacon and egg roll…you take a fresh roll…FRESH…. You cook a FRESH rind of bacon….and an egg…you put butter on the roll - and sauce if asked for…it is not brain surgery…it should be delicious and easy to cook…instead one is served a sweetish roll that is so bland and tasteless as to render one struggling to consume it…that means that one never returns…and it leaves the proprietors spending each day creating dull and tasteless food…why spend your life doing this soulless bland and tasteless act….I don’t understand how anyone can make such a boring roll which is so simple and easy to render delicious .!!!!! NEVER AGAIN…AVOID !!!!! Better to listen to...

Hailed the “birthplace of coffee in Leichhardt” the coffee is wonderful but not the only great offering from this unassuming cafe. They also do well: -The bacon! So crispy and delicious, the best bacon I’ve had in Australia. -Raspberry Muffins! I’m a huge blueberry muffin fan but Bar Sport’s raspberry muffin is to die for. -Service! Very friendly staff who always greet you with a smile.
