Been getting delivery from these guys for about 4 years now. Food is exceptional.......... if it's not delivered over 2 hours after ordering. The customer service and quality of delivery service is atrocious. If you want to eat by 7pm, you'd need to order no later than 5:00pm and even then, it feels like they go out of their way to deliver late anyway. Also, they very regularly stuff orders up. Missing items, completely different meals and the lack of care when packaging the food properly (Sweet corn chicken soup isn't really fun to eat out of a plastic bag) is a common occurence. It would be unfair to say they don't ever get it right, but the fact I can count how many times they've got it right by the fingers on one hand should give you an idea on how rare that is. Probably the most infuriating thing outside of the delays and mistakes with orders is the uncanny coincidence the phones seem to stop working when you call to complain, or if they do answer, they don't really seem to care. I don't know... the foods great when delivered on time, but the 80 odd percent of the time it's delayed or they've stuffed the order up is something everyone ordering from here should be aware of.
Edit April 2023 - I've changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars since my last review. The service has improved significantly now that they are not delivering themselves and utilised platforms like uber and menu log. Touch wood, but they haven't stuff an order up in a...
Read moreVery poor food. I was on a food high from giving the Twisted Indian 5 stars earlier in the week. If you want good Chinese, go to Fantong on Norton. It is quality and Mr Q is far from it. I ordered for 3, myself and 2 boys aged 11 and 14. They have eaten honey chicken from many places and both wanted that. When I arrived a few minutes late for my pickup they had the order wrong so I had to wait for about 15 mins for them to make the rest. I paid $87 for 2 serves dumplings, 2 honey chicken, mongolian beef, fried rice and boiled rice. I asked if anyone checked the serves before they were bagged and the excuse was that some of them had bad eyesight and usually they just get one order for each serve. V poor excuse. The dumplings and mongolian beef were actually not bad - 2 to 3 stars. The honey chicken was the worst my kids had ever eaten and they could not stomach more than a couple of mouthfuls. We will...
Read moreMr. Qs used to be my go to for delicious, comforting food. I ordered recently and every single dish was different to before, and every single dish was substantially worse. The ingredients looked and tasted cheap or maybe even frozen, with worse cuts of meat. The vegetables in the beef and black bean went from a great variety to bulked out piles of onion and strangely coloured capsicum, and the sauce was awful - flavourless and watery (barely identifiable as black bean sauce), the fried rice was awful and all of the nice things in it were gone of vastly reduced, the dumplings/dim sims are now cheap, mass produced looking siu mi. Literally everything looked like they’d tried to spend as little money on it as possible - maybe the chef tried with what the apparently new management gave them to work with but it was all just so bad. We used to order very regularly but won’t be back...
