The worst Korean BBQ experience Iâve ever had. One of the most overrated places for KBBQ and a terrible service to say the least. The booking system wasnât great, tried to move the time days before the original booking - even tried emailing to reschedule, no answer with their number and said it was fully booked.
Got to the venue at lunch hours with a large group and the place was empty with only another table in use and the rest was open. The ambience was nothing like their promotions online, no music was playing then at one stage there was music but only the bass which was quite loud.
I asked if there was someone in charge and said no manager until later at 4:30pm, it made complete sense as it was all unprofessional amongst the staff. There were 4 young guys on shift who wouldnât speed the process of changing the burning grills asked 3 times for it to be changed or when we asked for help the lack of service was awful.
Asked if they had jugs of drinks for the table at the bar for coca-cola the response was short and said âthey canât do itâ. With no sentence to follow and I asked again, do they have soft drinks and finally answering they sold cans of drinks, I also order soju with only 2 flavours in play - yet boasts theyâre a soju bar. Upon bringing the drinks to the table, the server spilled the serving tray with our shot cups crashing and the cans shaken, not even asking to replace it and no manners to acknowledge it happened. We opened our cans of drinks and it was fizzling everywhere - I felt bad as I knew they werenât trained properly. Their utensils werenât clean and still left over food on plates, which was disappointing.
Their marketing ads that are overly hyped through promotional influencers on social media doesnât reflect their lunch time crowds or at all. It may be only for the evenings or as a bar. There should always be a trained manager for both day shift and night shift especially when thereâs an active grill on the floor for the use of customers. Other than the aesthetics, I wonât be recommending this place to anyone, locals at least have a place to believe this is KBBQ.
Iâm also aware of the negative reviews being deleted a few months ago but wanted to give it a chance....
Read moreWhen we arrived here, the atmosphere was great. Music, the look of the actual place was outstanding. We took into consideration that the place was fairly new and we would be giving it the benefit of the doubt. We love KBBQ and usually visit places in south western sydney
However, upon walking in, hereâs a few things we noticed:
The floor was dirty and sticky Upon sitting down, we realised it took 7 mins until someone came to heat up our plate for us as there was no gas. This was after we chose our foods to cook The plates that you put your meat on are dirty and definitely not washed The cocktail âSour Azz Bombâ was recommended to us by our waiter as it was highly popular. For $22 all it was is Midori in a fancy cup. As well as the Bomb Martini that tasted like off lemonade with no alcohol ?? The fried chicken and chips are cold and stale There is not many options to choose from. The service is horrible. We waived for a waiter 3 times whilst our plate was burning. We were ignored and no one was attentive The grill died halfway through cooking. It took another 5 mins until someone had noticed us waving. There is a $15 Waste fee so we were forced to finish the food that we didnât even enjoy, scared to get charged. We honestly barely ate and only got up once (the beginning)
Once we spoke to the manager, she basically said that we would get a refund for our drinks only, considering âwe hadnât drank themâ. This is after the fact we told her that we were unhappy with the food, the chicken and chips were cold and the service was horrible.
Our bill came to $120.00. This is a hefty price tag and we felt ripped off for what type of experience we had. At other restaurants, this would easily be dismissed and refunded due to the horrible service and lack of professionalism.
I am extremely disappointed with the outcome and still disappointed we paid $120 after all of that.
This business can not handle feedback and simply just apologises rather than doing something about it. Not happy at all and do not recommend this place for people who actually enjoy...
Read moreCustomer service was just as bad as the first day this place opened. $55 per person was not worth the trouble coming to eat here when you can get the same quality food (or better) at any other all you can eat Korean BBQ for a cheaper price and better service.
The customer service on their opening day was so bad that they gave me a $200 gift card to spend at their restaurant, which is why I came back to eat here with 6 other people.
The only way to get a waiter's attention in this place is by having to chase after one, even though they have a customer service button, it just didn't seem to catch anyone's attention after waiting for 15 min.
There wasn't any proper music playing when we first arrived, all it was playing was bass boosted dubstep that didn't even sound pleasing. Halfway through our stay they put on a Korean playlist that was a lot louder than what was previously playing, which made talking to one another a huge effort.
The fried chicken and chips were bland, and the kimchi wasn't fermented properly according to my group.
The air vents were as useless as the waiter's, the amount of smoke the vents didn't suck was irritating everybody at my table. Despite having them as close to the grill as possible.
Half an hour into our dinner we ordered a jug of coke that didn't arrive at our table until right at the end when all of us had finished eating. The waiter that brought it to us apologized for the delay but we declined the coke since we were just about to leave.
Don't be fooled by their cool aesthetics, don't think we didn't notice that you took down the reviews for you to only be as bad as when you first started out. Happy to say that I'm never spending another dollar here again. Me and my friends did not have...
