Subset 27 — Restaurant in Sydney

The service was impeccable the waitress was amazing. Unfortunately the Food was absolutely disgusting the quality of which pedigree would reject.

Dish 1: Salmon Special Asked for Medium rare Salmon and I received medium well, the Chef was too lazy to trim the beans or the brocolli and the quality of Mash was below subpar

Dish 2: Seafood Pasta The pasta was cooked well The sauce was about as average as a packet sauce The seafood well here we begin. My partner and I both went for a mussel and they were so dead that they smelled like they died with the dinosaurs. (To put in into perspective they smelt like sewage.)

We voiced our concern to the waitress who smelled the mussels and became sour in the face although she was apologetic she also said that she would voice ours and her concerns to chef.

As we all know old shellfish can not only hospitalize you but may result in death.

The Chef and the waitress disappear to speak about the problem and the waitress returns, I ask what the chefs reaction was and she said he said nothing and didn't seem to care. This comment was supported by the fact the chef and his mate or owner of the establishment were having a good old time laughing and mucking around.

Spectacular service, delicious food and superb cocktails. Best dining experience I've had in a LONG time.

We went for a birthday lunch today with a few friends. Hadn't planned beforehand and hadn't booked. We were perusing the menu outside and the waiter, Dakoda (apologies if I got the spelling wrong, mate!), came out and greeted us, asked if we had any questions, would like to peruse a more in depth menu and offered us a table inside or out. We took him up on his offer.

We ordered the pork ribs, chicken and avocado, the salmon, a chicken parmy and several cocktails. Dakoda whipped up our cocktails in a matter of minutes and delivered the food shortly after. Everything was absolutely delicious and we cleaned out plates. The cocktails were excellent👌

The service was what made the difference though. Dakoda checked on us several times throughout the meal, sincerely asked if he could help and if we had any issues, kept the table water filled and even heard one our guests accidentally drop a fork, and appeared moments later with a fresh set of cutlery long before we even considered asking. He was exceptional and is an asset to the business.

I went with my daughter on Sat to try out this place. When I asked for a table, I was told we don’t have anything but the guy (pointed) you can sit there at the bar if you don’t mind, I walked over and claimed the seats. The meals and drinks were ordered online. Ordered pork ribs with a few sides, food was just warm. Ribs 5/10, not the best by any means but not the worst, it was dry not WOW tasty melt in your mouth kind, seemed reheated and served for $46! Staff only came to our table to drop off our order, no one said hi or checked if the meals were OK, or if we wanted something else. No bowl of water or wipes was provided which is kind of essential after ribs! We were there for about 2 hrs, we were invisible to the staff the whole time, however, they were attentive to the larger groups. As my daughter and I were halfway out the door, an Irish accent staff cleaning the tables shouted thanks bye! Someone finally noticed that we were there!
