Terrible Experience - Ignorant and Rude Staff
My husband ordered two takeaway wonton noodle soups from The Noodle Den because I’m pregnant and didn’t have the energy to cook. He specifically requested no onions due to my extreme aversions, nausea, and vomiting. However, when he got home and opened the meals, they had onions. I instantly threw up, and we had to throw the meals in the bin due to the smell.
My husband immediately called The Noodle Den and advised them of the mistake, which resulted in me vomiting and the meals being wasted. The lady on the phone was very apologetic and told my husband to come back for two replacements free of charge. He agreed and drove 15 minutes back to the restaurant.
When he got there, a male worker accused my husband of being a liar, demanding the returned food and claiming the kitchen was closed. Despite our situation, the owner, who was present, did nothing. The lady who answered the phone looked extremely uncomfortable, but we don’t blame her as she asserted well but clearly being a worker under the mercy of management.
My husband questioned why they were treating us this way, explaining we’ve been regular customers and celebrated many occasions there. The male worker rudely said we’d never been there before, even though we clearly have.
Long story short, I, a pregnant woman, was left hungry and extremely disappointed. This experience highlights the ignorance and greed of the staff, prioritizing their profit over basic humanity. It’s disgraceful, especially considering they claim to be halal. I’m appalled by their audacity and rudeness.
I've even ordered from you two days in a row and this evening is probably the worst appalling experience I've ever had, i will definitely take my business elsewhere and advise our friends, family and colleagues about this,...
Read moreWe came here pretty early ( we were the first ones to walk in). We were warmly greeted and seated. Th atmosphere of this restaurant is cosy and tidy, nothing over the top. We had a look at the menu and ordered from the code on the table. The service was fast and all the food was served fresh and hot. We ordered the veggie dumplings, the lamb dumplings, wonton soup, chicken skewers, garlic chicken, oyster sauce beef and also spring rolls.
Both dumplings were made fresh. The veggie ones were pan fried and was this cute green colour served with a small garnish of carrots. The presentation was amazing. We much preferred the lamb dumplings as it was more juicier but this could have been because we had them steamed.
The wonton soup was my favourite out of the entire meal. It costed $8 and came with 5 wontons which is very good for the price. The quality of this meal was so good and I will definitely be returning back for this soup.
The garlic chicken was served very hot and tasted like garlic and didn’t have that bitter taste that garlic can have. This is perfect for anyone who loves garlic for sure. The chicken skewers were cooked perfectly and served first. They had a crispy coating and came with a savoury peanut sauce.
The oyster sauce beef stir fry was quite a large portion and was served with fresh veggies. I would next time order a side of rice with this meal as I feel like it will compliment it well.
The veggie dumplings rolls were incredible. One of the best I’ve had. They were rolled generously and filled with a good amount of veggies. It was a perfect crisp and the sweet and sour sauce was amazing to dip it in.
We will definitely be back and I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a lunch or dinner somewhere lowkey and affordable. The food was amazing and definitely...
Read moreNoodle den is probably my least visited dining option at ED, but on this particular night we decided to give this Chinese restaurant another try. I remember trying noodle den a few years ago when it first opened and the food was terrible in my opinion. Luckily it’s now changed, the menu appears to have also changed that includes a broader range of dishes. On the menu it includes both Chinese and Malaysian type dishes. The beef laksa was a delight to eat, I just wished they offered extra noodle to go with the left over broth because that was delicious. Although I didn’t get a chance to try the other dishes, the portion looked pretty decent and prices also very affordable.
The downside of this restaurant is their service and cleanliness. You can tell that the floor is hardly ever cleaned with rubbish scraps everywhere. I handed back a dirty bowl that probably just come out of the dishwasher.
Interior is pretty standard with no wow factor compared to all the other restaurants nearby. No alcohol licence, only soft drink and Chinese tea options (tea cost $3). The restaurant can comfortably accommodate about 20+ guest internally, but it’s never full so there wouldn’t be an issue...
