Located within a 3 min walk from Artarmon Station, this burger shop is easily accessible by walking. Parking can be difficult.
Great friendly customer service. Clean tables and seats, tidy
Has a dedicated area to wash hands before hand, makes it convenient for workers coming from work to eat. Waiting time is appropriate, approximately 5 minutes, ( when the shop was basically empty, so at peak hrs, expect longer times)
Food is presented well. Lettuce and all ingredients do not spill out from the burger making it an easy first touch on the burger without having to worry about getting your hands all involved. The burger is a little small. Perhaps a 20% increase in size of the burger and the patty will make the cost more justified.
Prices are moderately priced.
The burger tasted balanced. It is a good burger, but it won't wow you. It's good enough though, that you feel like driving around 15- 20 minutes to the shop to eat it.
The menu does a good job in showing a realistic example of their burgers.
Overall, it's a solid place, but nothing too amazing.
I really hope they added 2 patties...
Read moreI’ve lost track of the number of years that have ticked past at Artarmon with everything and everything being the same. Same shops around the corner, same chicken places, same pharmacy same same same. And then came BRGR. Opened two weeks ago and as the name goes, serves BURGERS. BUT not any burgers, they’ve added a fresh burst of spices, tastes and breads to their burgers that make me feel like I’m sitting at Surry Hills and not at my good ol sleepy Artarmon.
The decor is bright, neat and fresh, straight lines to everything makes you feel this place knows it’s stuff. The owner is right at the back flipping his burgers and the girls in the front are really high on energy and friendly.
Now to the burgers, THE BEST APORTO BURGER IVE EVER HAD ! Fresh, juicy, spicy and bread that melted in our mouth. the quality of their meats is certainly an AA++. They even served the kids free ice cream !
This is the first time we came here but now me and my kid are hooked. She wants to make this place our new Sunday outing ritual.
LOVELY...
Read moreBRGR looks very out of place in this strip in Artarmon, the clean aesthetic and huge black tiles would look much more suitable inside a shopping centre.
This gives it a sense of being out of touch with the local people and area, either too high class or too commercial. However, it's not quite the case.
The burgers are uninspiring, but are clearly made with good ingredients, and a fair amount of care for presentation is taken when dining in. The staff are friendly and food is made in reasonable time.
The prices are a little bit above the area. When you can get something quite similar for somewhere close to half the price at one of the more area befitting 'carveries'.
This makes the price hard to justify, but perhaps it's worth it for the peace of mind. Knowing your food probably hasn't been sitting in a bain marie next to yesterday's Dagwood dogs for 7 hours.
Edit
I've adjusted my review to 5 stars purely because I would pay the extra just to use the handwash basin they have for customers. Convenient, and...
