This cafe looks huge from the outside, once you get inside it is quite homely with lots of plants, a huge window offering plenty of bright light and lots of different seating options from communal tables, benches, sofas & regular cafe tables.
The staff were attentive and friendly.
Surprisingly, the coffee menu was almost as large as the food menu, espresso, quick drip, slow drip, iced, cold brew... the list goes one.
I looked at the coffee menu after ordering a flat white, so I can’t wait to go back to try a quick drip which is my favourite.
The food menu is smaller that you see in many cafes but for good reason, there is nothing else you need!
I had the avocado in toast with added feta, it was a piece of art on a plate, and the slithers of chilli were a nice burst of heat.
We also had the kimchi toastie. If you are not watching your weight or are in need of comfort food, you must get this!!!
Overall a great venue. It does get busy so expect to wait...
Read moreAnother five star review by me. I figure the internet has too many clowns reviewing MCDonalds as three or four stars and good interesting places as one or two star cause they don’t get them-whatever’s.
Anyway this place is a gem. Store front of the revered Made of Many beans which are focussed and tasty.
The shop is self is a great layout in a tricky space in a cool corner in Stanmore. It just has the inner west thing that can’t be replicated if you try. The truely cool things never attempt to be cool, because they are cool and this place is-cool. It’s a laid back fit out and space with service that is casual yet attentive. The menu is short , confident and tasty.
In a town of cookie cutter cafes where it’s all Edison globes, white tiles and concrete- kudos to his team for their approach, with plants circular things in angled spaces and comfy vinyl armchairs.
I’ll be back ,...
Read moreHonest review - TLDR - damn tasty coffee and food but real expensive for the portion sizes.
Black coffee was delicious with really well balanced flavours, too options were offered (a regular or a fruity/zestier option). Friends had a great brewed chai and a regular latte.
Had two orders of the avocado toast and one the kimchee toastie. Have to say - one slice of sourdough with probably an 8th of an avocado smashed across it, 4 little drops of ricotta and 3 halved cherry tomatoes @ $20 was a bit rich. When you’re upwards of $20 on a vege dish we did expect a little more bang for buck. Food was very tasty.
Kimchee toastie was delicious.
All up - 2 coffees, a chai and 3 meals came in at $70 and we were still hungry. The quality isn’t in question at all. Maybe it’s the state of play with the cost of living/Sunday surcharge - but I reckon a little more on the plate would...
