The young male floor team at Cô Ba in Cabramatta have perfected the art of travelling through the dining room with their eyes lowered to avoid being flagged by diners. However whatever time you waste trying to place an order is quickly made up by the lightening fast kitchen. Most tables seem to be eating bò né, so we follow the crowd and are soon dodging our own drops of hot liquid flying off a sizzling platter of thin steak, pâté, and egg. This signature dish is offered in multiple grades of beef. We opted for bò né wagyu G7 ($30) and added on an extra bread roll ($2)—the dish comes with one—to maximise mopping up opportunities.

The other menu mainstays are steaming bowls of bánh canh—rice noodle soup—and shellfish, with clams, razor clams, toenail snails, and bullot snails all on offer. With my favourite garlic butter corn treatment unavailable, we ate our generously proportioned half kilo of stir-fried razor clams in straight-up garlic butter ($30). Crab spring rolls ($18)—bún nem cua bể—are presented in the traditional square shape with vermicelli and fresh aromatics. The sweet crab is joined by woodear fungus and lean pork in the crisp squares and the little red chillies are ballistic. With no liquor licence we opt for tart fresh orange and passionfruit juices ($7/each) sadly served in disposable plastic despite...

Ate there on saturday for a late lunch and have to be honnest, the whole experience was ruined by the waiter. He kept delivering our order to the wrong table despite being the one who not only took our order but having only 2 table to serve. First, the chips. Brought it to the wrong . Then, my juice order. Asked for a spoon, got a spon after 10 min and had to asked 3 TIMES SO MY SOUP WAS COLD WHEN I COULD FINALLY ATE IT!!!. Not focused on customer request despite the place were almost empty with only 2 table to serve at the back!!! MY JUICE WAS DELIVERED AT THE END OF MY MEAL AFTER I ASKED WHERE IT WAS!!! AND HE REALISED THAT HE GAVE IT TO THE WRONG TABLE!!! $70 for 3 dishes , 1 drink and 1 coke and a really bad dining experience!! Not worth it!!!I can understand the place is new, but please... focused on customer service! If a customer ask you something , go and grab it straight away instead of walking up to the counter , standing there for 5 min to say that table are served ! It takes 30 secondes to walk to grab a spoon and come back to the customer!! Or at least , check that if 4 people are seating at the table and order soup, you have 4 spoon available for them!! Common sense!

Honnestly, for half the price tag you can eat at another dining place in cabra with a lot better...

We dined at Co Ba Cabramatta thousand times already but I don’t know why the ratings are so weird 😂 I mean the food overall never disappoints us, my family is Viet and their favourite place has been always Co Ba for a year now.

Chicken feet is the way to go when you have the chance to eat here! The Crab Spring Rolls with vermicelli is authentic as I remember back in Vietnam when I was a kid 🤣, and a big recommendation for anyone who likes soup is the Crab Tapioca Noodle Soup!

Not a kind of person who likes to review on Google but I don’t know why the ratings are so conservative, service was great, we even know the waitress’s name now 🥲😂 even the music in the background reminds me of Vietnam, dined at an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, with good music, good vibes and a great service, what can I ask more?

Sometimes if it’s too busy, yes you may wait for a couple of minutes but to me personally, with the experiences I’ve been always have, we willingly to wait as long as the food’s quality is certain. And if you work in Hospitality, you know more than ever sometimes things gets too chaotic, you can’t control everything but overall, I’m grateful for my food and my service. Mai yeu Co Ba...
