Dong Ba Restaurant — Restaurant in Sydney

From a man with 4 University degrees, I kindly ask that all prospective patrons avoid this restaurant completely. The restaurant management changed from Vietnamese English speaking to Chinese only speaking. No kitchen staff speak English. What a COMPLETE DISGRACE! How did they come to live in Australia in the first place? An English Language waiver/exemption on special application to the Department of Immigration? You can expect to wait 30-45 minutes for your Bun Bo Hue here. Expect people who came in after you, to be served 1st. All the waiters are downright rude! They must be Chinese Vietnamese and not the regular 'kinh' Vietnamese you come to normally expect. When asked about the service at the front counter, they simply replied "I don't care". Fair Trading should be involved in this restaurant's service actions as it is simply not part of normal charter. They are very quick to take your money note and provide change and that's it. On a professional stance, this restaurant should be shut down immediately! Again, I kindly ask that all prospective patrons avoid this restaurant...

Unfortunately I had the worst possible experience here. pictured is what I ordered and what I got.

After questioning who I assume was the owner I was expecting some sort of mistake with my order. How ever they were extremely rude and insisted that my food looks EXACTLY the same as the picture 😀 and mentioned that they don’t stock the ingredients for the other aspects of the dish?

Had this been made known to me earlier my whole dining experience would have been a lot more pleasant.

Ontop of this they were shouting at me whilst talking down on me. They were very unhelpful and ended the conversation with DO YOU WANT TO EAT IT OR NOT. At this point I was just taken back. It’s not every day you get to dine at a restaurant and experience such customer service. I assume I was treated like this being a small young Asian girl because when spoke to by a man they changed their attitude.

I have yet to try bun bo hue at this place but I have no doubt it won't be dissapointing hehe. On one particular night after work, went back to cabra craving for some Vietnamese food. . Always seen this place in passing but never walked in until now. I had broken rice pork chops this dish was really tasty and another particular item I am very fond of was the Vietnamese salad. . How much I adore this salad. So fresh and flavorful. Mix mix mix and add some on top of prawn crackers. Delicious! 👌🏼👌🏼 . Both dishes were wonderful. I definitely want to try the bun bo hue here when we hit winter again haha. .
