Canteen Taiwan Eastwood — Restaurant in Sydney

We tried this cute canteen stall recently for a quick lunch and ordered their braised pork rice (lu rou fan), egg pancake, pork ball soup, black pepper pork pastry (hu jiao bing) and warm drink of black sesame soy milk.

Their dishes are quite authentic Taiwanese dishes and taste quite nice. We especially love their fatty pork rice, egg pancake and black pepper pork pastry. The prices on the menu are quite good value for your money. However, don't expect any ambience or customer services since this is just a fast-food canteen like food court area where you bring the food and find your own table and seat. The owner / manager lady was quite nice though. The only thing we don't really like is that they used plastic fork / spoon and carton dish containers for the dishes. I wish they can use real things which are better for the customers' health and environment

Ordered the dry noodles, braised pork rice, chicken drum sticks, pork chop and the egg pan fried pancake from this restaurant on the EASI app and everything was delicious. The chicken was extremely juicy and flavourful, the braised pork rice was hearty and the dry noodles had the perfect texture. The restaurant also left an extremely cute message on the delivery bag that my food came in and it made me and my partners night. I cannot recommend this...

Great Taiwanese flavours, freshly cooked and nicely presented… I came here to try both breakfast and dinner (on different days) and they’re quite consistent.

Not something super fancy as they position for casual meals (簡餐), but pretty great value for the portions in Australian standard. Some creative dishes and combo meals too.
