Charli's Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

We just had an unfortunate experience at Charli's Cafe. We went there to get some work done while enjoying a meal. After ordering our food and drinks, we plugged in our laptops to charge, only to have the owner come over and rudely inform us that we couldn't use the power points for charging. I've never encountered a policy like this before, especially in a cafe that seems to cater to people looking for a relaxed environment to work in. The customer service was poor, and the overall experience was quite disappointing. We've now moved to another cafe where we feel more welcome. The b and e roll was over cooked on a dry coles bun (with an orange slice for a garnish??) Seems to be more of a low priced local for the older crowd in the area. The staff were nice though. In hoodies. But nice :). I think a few basic changes to the presentation of the place and a new cook in the kitchen that has some interest in cooking and not just serving up a collection of random dishes that other places in the area serve (probably to a higher standard), this place...

Service was slow and food was inedible unfortunately, old dry very cheap white bread that was curling at the edges with sad/old looking salad. Being pregnant I decided to not risk eating the chicken and salad sandwich.
