We came to Chat Thai on a Thursday night for dinner. 4 friends who haven’t seen each other in 7 years. We arrived at 7pm. Ordered drinks, entrees and 4 mains. Whilst the food its self was delicious and I couldn’t fault it. The service was so disappointing. At 8.45pm we were asked if we wanted more drinks. Which at that point we didn’t. We were then give our bill. We were still eating our mains!!! We were found this incredibly rude. We asked if we were ok to stay and they said for a little bit. There was still another table of two eating. But 9.15 it was just us and even though still eating they tried to take our food away. Someone even started mopping the floor around us. Sadly it was all a bit too rude and we won’t ever return. It should be important to ensure guests have a great experience and by clearing plates while eating and giving the bill when the staff were wanting to finish up was so rude. Don’t have on your website open till 10pm when you try and get rid of...

[updated to respond to the owner's reply] please do not treat your customers like morons. Freshly sourced from farm? Are you kidding me? The texture, colour and everything of the morning glory clearly indicated that it is not fresh. This is joke. Also if thats the way you prepare fried rice is - soggy and mushy you might as well take it off the menu altogether. Do not insult fried rice, thats not how fried rice should be prepared in any way. If you in any way take pride in delivering quality food to your customer you would have discarded the morning glory right away instead of serving it to your customer.

Shockingly horrible food. Ordered morning glory and fried rice. This is the mushiest fried rice I've ever tasted in my life. Morning glory is so old so wilted so not fredh so hard it should be discarded but this restaurant chose to serve it to me. The food is inedible and i had to throw them away and cooked myself instant noodles instead. Let the photos do...

I always love some good Thai food, and this place ticks the box!

The staff were super friendly, it was a nice and cosy atmosphere, and the food was amazing!

You've got indoor and outdoor seating. It was almost at capacity on a Friday night at 8pm, but we managed to get a table for 2.

For starters, we ordered the pork ribs, which were really nice when you dipped it in the sauce. The meat just fell right of the bone ! For mains, we ordered pineapple fried rice, duck curry and soft shell crab. All three dishes were amazing and full of flavour. The soft shell crab was nice and crunchy.

The food took about 20-30mins to arrive, but it we were not in any rush and enjoyed the music playing in the background.

The bill did come up to $95 for two people, but that was because of the duck and the softshell crab (which were totally worth it! ).

Definitely coming here again!

What a lovely restaurant to have operating in the suburbs, serving authentic and delicious Thai dishes. It was a busy night, but service was friendly, prompt and efficient. Cocktails were well priced, and our table of 8 had an awesome time, tasting a variety of food and drinks. The stand out dish was a simple prawn fried noodles (see photo). It was quite expensive at AU$29, on account of the two large king prawns I believe. It was very tasty, but however hard to share between so many of us. Next time...I'll happily order this one dish to eat ALL by myself! The Pad Thai that we ordered was no comparison, and perhaps can be improved on...taste-, quantity- and price-wise. Well done Chat Time, please keep up the quality of food and service, and we will be back.

What’s a difference with a smiling service or a dont care less service make a difference in a restaurant. We came back the second time with in a week because we really enjoy the food and service last time. We have book a table both times but that doesn’t seems to make any difference. My last timehere at the restaurant was busy, the waitpersons are smiling and efficient, food was delicious and come at a good pace. This time we have to wait for ages, entree came without eating utensils, one of the main got lost and they are busy behind the counter. It’s struggle all the way through the whole lunch. May be they only care for take away and serving lunch time $15 special only. Luckily the food when serve is still good. R 6/10
