Pop N Chew - Bubble Tea & Dessert Bar — Restaurant in Sydney

The rudest most bizarre customer service I've ever experienced. We felt uncomfortable from the moment we entered with the guy at the counter. We first presented our Groupon voucher which he didn't seem so warm about and tried to find ways to not honour the conditions in the voucher and charge more. The guy was projecting the most grumpy vibes for a dessert joint. To make things worse, 3 of the 4 orders were made incorrectly. 1 of us got our order 45 mins after the 3 of us had received ours and already finished (they forgot part of the order and were very rude when we followed up). No apologies whatsoever rather lies and humiliation! When politely telling him we ordered taro icecream waffles not these random choc chip icecream ones, he said the taro was underneath the choc chip..it was not Lol he just got the order wrong and refused to acknowledge it. As we walked out he pulled us aside and said in front of his line of customers "can I have a chat with you" then proceeded to raise his voice accusing us that our groupon voucher did not include what was provided in front of these customers.. he made no sense and created these confusing explanations. The groupon simply said icecream, waffles and crepes with bubble tea and icecream which is what we got.. no less no more..just lies saying our choc chip icecream was taro... Save your stress levels and taste buds and go...

My experience tonight at Pop N Chew was very interesting. I got the impression that it was under new management as I found the man behind the counter very nice but probably a bit excessively attentive. I appreciate the kind service but it did come off a bit intense as all I wanted was something simple but I seemed to be offered a taste of everything. The customer service is great but there's no need to worry about me that much.

I had the plain egg waffle tonight which was delicious, but the man seemed to be really worried that I wouldn't like it, offering free ice cream and wanting me to try it as soon as he gave it to me asking for a number out of 10. This made things a little awkward and uncomfortable but at least the egg waffles tasted great. If I was to give feedback, perhaps it was a little overcooked and maybe they could take it off the waffle maker a tiny bit earlier. It doesn't need to be hard like an ice cream cone. One issue I did have however, was that I saw the man breaking a bit off the edges and taste testing... this kind of put me off the meal, but I'm going to put it down to his nervousness of me getting the plain waffles.

As mentioned, I appreciate the kind service, but there definitely are elements that need some work. I wish them all the best and I'm sure I'll be back one day for...

Yesterday, me and my friends went to Pop n Chew after school. The wait was very long for one of my friends, she had to wait 40 minutes to order. My other friend got her drink given to someone else therefore she had to wait longer. Some others were gonna get food or drinks but left when it took too long. When i got my bubble tea (The Mango Delight) it tasted really bad. It didn't taste like tea at all. The boba was really good but the rest was bad and didn't even finish it. The medium size i got was $7.00 which was a lot for a cha time it's $7 for a large one. I saw someone get the wrong order and they transferred it to the large and it was not up to the top, they added ice. So basically you're paying 1 extra dollar for ice in the large one . I will not be going back here. I do get that you guys are a new business but i just didn't...
