Chatime Cabramatta — Restaurant in Sydney

On Boxing Day I came to Cabra Chatime in the morning where this girl with short hair and glasses served me. Her customer service was appalling! At first she was on her phone behind the counter and did not even notice me! When she finally noticed and took my order, her tone of voice sounded as though she was demanding me to hurry up and make my order! After I got my honeydew mt with pearls, the same girl asked me “WANT A BAG?” During the whole process she did not smile or appeared customer friendly. After I took a sip of my drink I came back to Chatime to complain that the drink was sour. I usually get honeydew mt so I know it is meant to taste sweet. I asked one of the other girls if I could speak to the manager and she pointed to the girl that was rude to me and said “she is the manager.” I told her what had happened and about my drink, she was “sorry” and apologised on behalf of the managers behaviour. This event seriously ruined my mood for the day! Never coming back until serious management...

Never been so angry ordering a drink from Chatime.

So, I went in the shop; I asked the cashier girl if members get a free drink on their birthdays to which she answered ‘yes’. Then she asked another worker (a guy) as she wasn’t sure of the steps to enter that order.

The dude asked me if I have received an email sent from Chatime which, apparently, contains a barcode for them to scan. I answered ‘no’; for whatever reasons, I just didn’t receive one.

I said I can prove that it’s indeed my birthday and I do have a membership card. The dude went ahead and said if I didn’t receive a barcode meaning there’s no free drink for me (?!)

Then I said it’s an obvious member entitlement, yet he just kept on repeating the same things.

I ended having to pay for me drink despite they advertise ‘free birthday drink’ when you sign up for their membership.

That dude just had to put me in a bad mood on my birthday. Will never visit this...

I dont often write reviews, but this time I feel like I really want to. The guys here are very cool! A few of the staff remembered my usual order, a mango smoothie with added pearls. I know its a bit weird but its pretty satisfying for me. They're also quite quick, even with lines and faster than other tea stores in the area. I know cos my girlfriend likes to alternate between different places and goes to other ones nearby and I always beat her at ordering.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I always get a good experience when I go here. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they always try maintain high energy even if its late at night.
