Went to Cabramatta with a mate to get some groceries and thought of getting a quick bite of pho since we were in Vietnamese area. My mate said let’s try some place new since we always had the same pho at the same old place. We came across this Ann’s Vietnamese pho and matey decided to try it out. While we were waiting to get a table, I notice there are 4 large rubbish bins place right on the shop front door. 1 bin is enough but 4 and in front of the entrance ?? How hygiene of it I was thinking..... So after we get a table we decide to try out their special beef pho and ordered a Large size to share, since we were not really hungry but craving for some only. While we waiting for the pho, we also noticed that basically the whole place is zero social distancing, and while it’s still the danger time for the spread of WuHan Virus and what’s more few areas in Sydney already infected again after the 2nd wave from Victoria. Moreover, all the tables were occupied with customers there are no distance space at all... Except for the lady who was washing cutleries at the corner, the 3 waiters on floor were not wearing any face masks. 3 of them kept of chatting with each other even from afar, imagine how the salivas flying everywhere. And worst still 2 of them kept eating and chewing gum while working and serving. Before we left, saw the short waiter wearing glasses while cleaning a table on front of us, he just pour the tea from the jar to the table and wipe it.... what the heck ? They don’t even have a proper surface wipe to sanitize ffs ! This is what the management is teaching the staff in hygiene matter ??!! After a while our pho was not served yet but I saw a table of 5 right in front of us who were came in late after us, got all their orders. Obviously the curly hair waiter who took our order forget to place it.... how hard and how long will it take to make 1 bowl of pho than 5 ?? So after waiting for another while we got our long waiting pho and my mate asked for one more bowl since it is to share but to our surprise the waiter said they can only give one bowl ! What the ....??? Like I said the WuHan Virus is still ongoing so they expected us to share and eat each other salivas and put our health in danger??? What if my mate or I am having flu ?? So they encourage us to spread the virus among us? Moreover, the one extra bowl they gave is not a large one but merely enough for 3 mouthful of bites. This is the very first time I came across a restaurant who only provide 1 sharing bowl, and especially on this time of health crisis. Worst pho place ever eat to be frank !! Not recommended unless you wanna catch come virus in there.

I was taken here by someone and did not have a good experience. If you’re looking for a place with good dining experience and good service, this is not the place. They lack quality and service here. Staff is not rude, but they don’t have good service. We were just seated down and the lady who sat us down pulls out a notepad and asked what we wanted. This felt uncomfortable because it felt so rushed and we didn’t even get a chance to look at menu. They try to maximise the seating capacity of the space so you have to share table with other people. You place your order quickly, food comes out super fast, eat quickly and leave quickly. It is not a place to dine and slowly chat. The environment doesn’t make you feel relaxed or enjoyable. Staff is not considerate. It’s super busy and they are carrying bowls of hot soup or trays with multiple bowls. We had a pram and the walk way is super tight, that they have to carry the soup over a baby to get past. Very dangerous move and not considerate of these issues. What if an accident happened and the soup poured on the baby. They could have chosen another route. Or tilted the bowls to the other side. But to have the bowls directly over the baby shows lack of consideration and experience. We weren’t too hungry and wanted to share a large bowl between two people. They said to us there is a $1 for a bowl which is ridiculous. There is no other way to share except pay $1. If you don’t want people to share, maybe you should say 1 dish per person so you can avoid people who share. Why take us in and then charge on ridiculous things. Their reasoning is ‘$1 per bowl for adults’. So kids don’t get charged for sharing. Space is also super tight, don’t expect to be seated comfortable. It’s not very wheelchair or pram friendly. Food wasn’t like ‘WOOW’ tbh. Pho is pho. I can have pho anywhere and with better experience, I will definitely not come back.

Being served by grumpy staff is one thing but to be served by a bossy one is another level. We picked a table on the side but were asked to take the table in the middle of nowhere with lots of foot traffic (front and rear) on the pretext that they are mopping the floor. 5 minutes later, a pair of customers of another ethnic group/race sat themselves at the table we intended to sit without being asked to relocate! Then a mother and daughter came through and picked a table behind them but was ushered elsewhere! Where is the logic? Because we can be bullied whereas that group is more superior? Anyway, food arrived shortly after and was disappointed with my bowl of noodles. I asked for raw beef but mine was fully cooked and in a chunk that was impossible to pull apart. It goes to show the lack of care to prepare the food. The fresh chillies was tasteless, no heat. The soup has msg and left a bitter aftertaste. So much that it stayed till the next day which I found it odd. And to drink tea from a tiny paper cup was the final straw! Sadly, the only thing that was tasty was their pickled garlic. To charge $1 for the use of a bowl to share the food is a laugh! Are you in the hospitality industry? Again, what is the logic of the additional cost? A bowl from Ikea doesn’t even cost $1! I wonder would the diner get to keep the bowl? 🤣 I checked this place out as some prized them above the one I usually go with my family. Sorry to say, I BEG TO DIFFER! The pho and broth wasn’t great and to be attended by bossy and grouchy staff is not $ well spent.

As a non Asian, the experience I got from this place was 'meh'. I felt judged by the way they looked at me as well as the atmosphere. When the food arrived (keeping in mind I went with one of my Asian friends), they gave it to her instead of me, which was pretty unfortunate. Not going to lie I believe they're 25% racist ( but I think they're more like 50% racist). The food there was descent but not anything special. ( maybe because I didn't put enough spices in it ) but overall I would give a 2.5 stars out of 5. I hope to anyone that is non Asian to have a better experience than mine because mine was definitely tough experience coming from an Asian restaurant. However, I am glad to experience it for the first time but maybe I'll try another place next time. Which are less judgemental.

Other things: When I asked to pay there was two workers in front of me, which I believe one was speaking to me in Vietnamese ( WHICH I KNOW IS NORMAL HOWEVER I FELT AS IF SHE WAS BARKING AT ME AND I DONT KNOW IF THAT'S NORMAL OR NOT. ) I think she understood me too. I don't know 😕 🤷 The other lady was trying to guide me though, I couldn't understand and maybe I didn't hear it properly or because she spoke quietly. I don't see why two people needed to guide me when I saw with other customers that it was either with one person or no one at all. I liked the tea they served that was a positive to the experience. I also wanted to take out which apparently was a thing but they told me to sit down and plus if I did suggest that they probably 😅 wouldn't understand. The portion size was pretty good and I even got full and had to give it to my friend which she finished. For the prices on the board I saw that most of them were $8.50 however, mine was $17 which I don't if it went up because of inflation or because it was $17.

Thank you for...
