5 stars for the food. Minus 1 star for service.

Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way. We waited a long time for the mains to be served. The waitress made a mistake and served my Beef Wellington to another table. She only realised the mistake 2 mins later and took the plate away from them and brought it to us. In a normal non-covid circumstance, I wouldn't be too fussy. But in this environment, it is a potential health risk. I wasnt even sure if that table dipped their fork or spoon into my main. The waitress apologised so I'm not gonna make too much noise. But the owner has to be aware of this incident.

Now for the positives. This place definitely serve high quality, classic French dishes. There are not many places that serves Beef Wellington, not to mention a good one. This place does it perfectly. Buttery pastry, smooth and rich pate and a perfectly cooked medium rare fillet. The lamb brain was one of the best I have had, delicate yet flavourful. My favourite is the Creme Brulee. Many French restaurants dont put enough sugar to make the crust. Chez Maurice on the other hand, puts too much sugar. But I absolutely love the overly sweet, hard crusted, eggy, creamy Creme Brulee. Definitely A+ place. I love Hubert, it is one of my favourite French restaurants in Sydney, but I think they can learn a thing or two from...

The first experience: The lovely experience started as soon as we walking into the restaurant where we were warmly greeted by Daniel [the head waiter]. There were 6 of us and when we were seated we noted the ambiance was as if we had arrived in a French restaurant in Paris. The food: Michael & Jessica [the owners] have selected a menu that is so mouth watering, you will want to try everything on the menu, so we'll definitely be coming back again!! The food is absolutely amazing, well presented and generous portions. [And if you like Duck then you must try the Duck L'Orange! 10/10] A very special moment: Somehow, Daniel had overheard that it was our daughters birthday, so after the meal the lights dimmed and made it known to the other patrons that there is a birthday taking place, and presented our daughter with a lovely desert with a candle, and everyone there joined in the chorus and sang Happy Birthday! Over all experience: Very professional, high quality dining, lovely people - a very special...

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Chez Maurice Et Linda and it was an unforgettable experience. We were blown away by the quality of the food, especially the wellington beef and lamb which were cooked to perfection. The veal kidney and scallops were also outstanding, and we were impressed with the attention to detail in every dish.

To top it off, we indulged in the most decadent desserts: the dark chocolate mousse was rich and velvety, while the creme brulee had the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. And to our surprise, the owner of the restaurant even gave us a complimentary plate of profiteroles in honor of my wife's birthday - it was such a thoughtful gesture and really made our evening even more special.

Overall, we had an amazing time at Chez Maurice Et Linda and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. The food was exquisite, the service was impeccable, and the owner's hospitality truly made us feel like VIPs. We can't wait...

For starters we had the sauteed prawns with garlic and parsley served with steamed rice - sensational. And for main course I had the Chateaubriand with bernaise sauce and my husband had the filet de bouuf wellington - both perfectly cooked and so yummy. We love the green beans and potatoes they are served with. Byo is great. Lol, my absolute favourite dish which I had been craving before going was surprisingly out of stock - it is the pan fried brains with garlic and parsley - with my friends suggesting that they might have all been shipped to the US!
