3.5 stars out of 5 Things I liked - The ramen was authentic and 5/5 - Staff was friendly - The variety of food - Decor The things I disliked - hygiene was an issue - Food was slow - Menu wasn’t updated online $16 for ramen actually $20 in store - an extra egg cost $3.80 The best part of this place is the authentic Japanese food that isn’t just sushi. My honest opinion is they may have started strong but adopted a very “casual western” attitude to service and cleanliness. The food is actually good but they’ve dropped their standards in certain areas. This restaurant wouldn’t probably do as well competing with others similar in Japan. Genuine suggestions : 1. hire another younger worker who just cleans and takes orders. Or reduce workload on just the one lovely waitress. 2. Clean tables quickly. Reduce addons like egg. 3. Update menu online. Would I come back? Yes どうもありがとうございます and I hope your restaurant does well.

Have been coming to this restaurant for many years, each time coming for dinner and the majority of the time dining in. I've never had a bad experience and the food is always delicious. There are some times where the food is slightly slow in coming out, but nothing adverse and generally if the place is busy. Staff are always happy to make additional space for you if the tables are full (such as setting up additional tables) and the menu has good variety.

Such an insult to serve this Ramen it consisted of one very small slice of pork and a small crab piece the size of a 20cent. It was just noodles and the price was $17.80. Not good value definitely would not recommend this restaurant. Very expensive for the standard of food. When I spoke to the waitress she said that is the way they make the Ramen I think the cook should visit a few Japanese restaurants and check out the quality of food they serve

One of the worst experiences we've ever had! Came for dinner with a party of 6 and the service was extremely slow. The waitress took down our order incorrectly, missing out a main. Luckily we discovered this early when we were given one less miso soup.

The 1st entree aburi salmon came out in around 15mins, a good start, but then it all went downhill. The rest of the food came in drips and dribbles over the next 1.5 hours. We were missing a prawn tempura from the basket of what should have been 6. The initially missed main of wagyudon (the last to come out) came in a large bowl of rice, sparse meat, which was tough as leather and extremely salty. The other mains tasted ok, not too good or bad.

Almost 2.5 hours later, going up to the counter to pay the bill, I was expecting to see a short-staffed kitchen, but not only was it filled with at least 7 people, they were mainly packing take away orders. Completely unacceptable! They also missed our entree of gyoza. When I inquired, they said that it hadn't even been taken down by the waitress... Worse of all, two of us (those that had the seafood mains - chirashi sushi, and unjayuu) had food poisoning and still haven't fully recovered!

Extremely disappointed and none of us will...

We had booked a table for a special occasion (family back in country together for first time in over 12 months). Sat near the kitchen/cash point, noisy but one would hope at least noticeable. Unfortunately, this is where things started to come undone. Took over 30mins to take our order, even though we'd asked numerous times. Drinks arrived promptly, but food took over 50mins to arrive. Well, most of it - the server realised they had forgotten to put one meal through, so had to go and cook that in a rush - another 20mins before that arrived. The food was good, but taking almost 2 hours to serve 2 small starters and 5 mains was extremely frustrating. The restaurant was reasonably busy, but the owner stated that they weren't actually that rushed in the kitchen!! No apologies offered :( Deeply disappointing, have previously had good experiences here, but service has fallen way behind the quality of the food. Would only recommend going when it's less...
