Chow Thai — Restaurant in Sydney

We went out for dinner at 8:30 PM. My husband spoke to the manager, who told us to have a seat. We waited for the menu, but no one came to assist us. Eventually, my husband found a menu near the cashier, and we chose two dishes to order. When we approached the cashier, a young girl informed us that they were not allowing dine-in customers at that time. We accepted that we would take our meal to go, even though my baby and I were already seated at a table.

At the same time, we noticed the girl happily taking a dine-in order from another couple. Confused, we spoke with the manager and asked if we could dine in despite what the girl had said. The manager confirmed that we could stay, and shortly after, the same girl came back and set two plates of food and cutlery on our table. However, she seemed very rushed and rude, likely because they were preparing to close at 9:00 PM.

While we understand that it was a busy night, I couldn't help but feel disappointed with our experience. I'm left questioning why the girl clearly provided better service to another couple at the same time we arrived, despite her earlier insistence that we could not dine in. Overall, it was a disheartening experience. While the food is good and reasonably priced, the manager is a nice person. However, this will be my first and last visit to this restaurant due to the rude and poor customer service from one...

Was super busy tonight. And I mean really busy. Probably 20- 30 people waiting. And for every person that got their food someone else came and ordered. Service was very good, the young lass taking the orders was smiley and polite despite being rushed off her feet. She said the wait would be long. And it was. 40 minutes or so but totally understandable with the amount of people already there when I ordered and the constant stream of delivery drivers coming and going. When got the food it was delicious. Both the Pad see ew and chilli basil fried rice. I thought it may have been a bit below usual standard as kitchen was pumping orders out. But no it was delicious absolutely delicious. They didn’t cut any corners trying to push orders through. In short i got short changed as they forgot one of my dishes and it was too late to ask for refund also the pad thai dish was very dull and lacked meat and veges.

I got some take away today and was very dissapointed. I ordered 3 dishes, went did some shopping, came back 15 mins later and only 2 dishes were ready. I went away and came back 5 minutes later and was handed my bag and I didn't realise until I got home only 2 dishes were inside. I live about 10 minutes away and had to go back to work so couldn't go back to complain. Yes I should have checked but had other things on my mind.
