I have been buying pizzas from Monty’s Kings Langley when the lovely Monty was alive, RIP. Tonight my partner ordered my usual vegetarian, which I never divert from, instead got some tandoori pizza. He didn’t realize until he got home that it was incorrect. I phoned up & explained what had happened & asked if I could have my order cooked & return this one. Got some guy that just wanted to talk over the top of me & said he have to check? I asked check what! I got the wrong pizza & id like it corrected. I ended up talking to a lady she was apologetic & said they had a new team member. She offered a home delivery but when I gave my address out she paused & said where’s that. I said don’t worry & my partner will come into the shop. She then offered a new pizza at a later date no charge! More confusion because I’d paid for this one & wanted to eat tonight not next month. Then she said I’ll make you a large one, I declined as I only wanted what I ordered & paid for. I hate wasting food so I declined the upgrading understanding this was a good will gesture. My partner now informs me they made me a large one, which I didn’t want! This lead to my fury because again NOT LISTENING to their customer. I told him to just get the money back because clearly they don’t listen & can’t follow a simple task. They can’t give money back either because manager wasn’t there. 1.5 hrs later I haven’t eaten & don’t feel like eating because I’m too furious to. Won’t be returning! Eventually he came home with what was originally ordered. I usually enjoy ordering from this pizza shop, but this time I was quite disappointed. The pizza I received was overloaded with sauce, which made it messy and difficult to eat. The sauce completely overpowered the flavor of the cheese and toppings, and the crust became soggy. A little sauce adds great taste, but too much can really spoil the balance of the pizza. I hope the shop can take more care in controlling the amount of sauce used so customers can enjoy the full flavor of the pizza. It felt like the pizza was made in a rush, with way too much sauce poured on top. Maybe the worker was tired or overwhelmed, but the end result wasn’t enjoyable.
