I am excited to find Cinta Rasa a very authentic Malaysian restaurant. Most dishes have very authentic Malaysian flavours and I would be happy to come back and find out more.

Best dish of the day for me was definitely the Hainanese Chicken, succulent and flavoursome. The Roti, crispy, light and fluffy, also not too sweet like most places in Sydney - comes second with the morish chicken curry for dipping (must try the chicken curry next visit).

Kum Heong Spicy Pipis was tasty but the sauce perhaps a little overpowering, heavy and greasy. The Bak Kut Teh broth tasted authentic and very tasty but let down by the toppings. The pork pieces were bland and the tofu puffs didn't have a nice flavour. The dipping sauce tasted just like we have in Malaysia. The flavour of the Loh Bak (Five Spice Pork Roll) were slightly disappointing, so was the Four Treasures (Eggplants, Snakebeans, Okras and Bitter Beans with Shrimp Paste) but my friends like it.

Overall the food at Cinta Rasa is somewhat lighter and not as greasy as most Malaysian restaurants in Sydney. For example, the nearby Albee's Kitchen or Ho Jiak in Chinatown.

P.S. : The Hainanese Chicken Laksa is also high recommended! The broth is lighter as there’s less coconut milk being added but still full of flavours. There’s...

First time at Cinta Rasa. We ordered the curry puff entree and the curry chicken Nasi Lemak and beef rendang Nasi Lemak. Decor is par for the course for Malaysian restaurant. That is to say sparse and practical, in this case with a hint of Chinese, much like the food. Service was perhaps a little slow. The curry puffs had a nice puff pastry and good flavour. They arrived on a plate. Curiously, neither I or my dinner partner were given plates to eat them with. After enough of a delay to think they may have forgotten our order our mains arrived. The beef randang had ok flavour and the beef itself was tender - though I couldn't separate it with a fork - the sambal was a bit watery but OK. Overall it didn't have those complex flavours and thick consistency I really love in a rendang. My partner thought the chicken curry was fine but also found the sambal on the watery side. Price wise they are in the ball park with other local Malaysian cuisine. Not bad for...

Food is subpar. I had the tofu laksa and if was alright. The soup had a very strong coconut taste to it but it was also a little grainy. I also had the seafood hokkien. The noodles were drowned in a very water bland sauce that has the consistency of chocolate syrup.

Now onto the staff. When I first arrived, I was greeted with shouting from a staff member. This behaviour was also shown inside the restaurant. The very loud shouting from each and every staff member was extremely rude and disrespectful. When we were here, one of the staff members were shouting out and I quote, "SPRING ROLLS", across the whole restaurant. It was very discomforting.

Overall, the restaurant is okay but I would only go there if I needed something to eat quickly.

Also just on a side note, the staff do not look like they seem to enjoy their job at all. I was shown no...

Comfort Malaysian food - some dishes are hit or miss but mostly overall tasty and good value for the portion. Hit: Hainese chicken; kapitan chicken curry; curry chicken; homemade tofu (salt & pepper); black pepper beef; kolo mee; nasi lemak Miss: belchan water spinach (not enough flavour); Bak kuh teh (very watery; no depth of flavour at all)

No doubt their food is always good and very Malaysian🤤 Ordered their "wat dan hor" and look at the quality of the noodles! Wok hey gao gao... it’s very rare to find such quality of the hor fan. Again, this is purely my preference as others might this chao ta look is very unhealthy. For me, I would say tasty food is always like that 🤣🤣
