I need to express my disappointment about this place because I believe that they could have done so much better, by doing very little. The location is perfect: the island needs a place where to have a coffee, a beer, a bite, sitting in front of a great side of the Sydney's skyline, right next to the wharf. How can you possibly be not able to offer a good service when you have all the potential of a great business? The service is slow, the guys working there are fine but they look exhausted (probably they are, but it's so odd to have such a cold customer service in Australia), the food choice is not too bad, but the quality is awful. They manage to serve bad chips and dipping!! The hummus was bad. The flat bread was bad! How can you not do these things right? This is basic hospitality knowledge. Please do something about it. It's a shame. The "Mr and Ms plate" to share was big enough for 4 people, to have a snack while drinking a beer and chatting the evening away... A bit of meat and calamari for 50$. Good price, but the taste was absolutely not good. I heard people behind me complaining about the burgers! And I saw them, they were terrible. Please fix it!! I would like to come back again there and enjoy the island with all my senses. You can do it guys! You can :)

Disappointed to find them closed when we arrived last night earlier than advised, as the only alcohol supplier to glamping it meant we couldn’t enjoy a sunset drink, when I raised this In the morning I was advised it was my fault for not ordering ahead and they can’t guarantee opening hours as “I’m the only one working” In the morning when getting coffee I found an unbelievably fantastic location tarnished by grumpy staff where asking for our banana bread to be toasted seemed like a surprise request they’d never heard and like I was asking for a favour. Coffee was good though as was the toasted banana bread!

I'll start with the OK. The food was decent and came out relatively quick. Really nice al fresco seating with the Harbour Bridge as a back drop. But, the service was bad. The server was putting more change in the till, looked at me while I was waiting, not a word. Takes my order, I order from the menu from first order at the top to the bottom. They got my order wrong, I went back to ask for it to be changed, no apology, just " you ordered wrong." Followed by "you'll need to pay more". Not impressed, but a real shame, as the food was decent.

What an absolutely AMAZING place - The beautiful lady that runs the cafe and her gorgeous daughter took the most beautiful care of us and I plan on going back regularly. The food is superb, the most beautiful and friendly staff, and an incredible view! I have been looking at this island for so many years and boy am I glad we decided to take the trip to this place for lunch before exploring the rest of the island.

The coffee wasn't that great (there's another cafe on the other side that made better coffees) but the food was amazing. We spent the weekend camping on the island and got to chat with the staff here. They were friendly and very funny with great island ghost stories of their own to share. The food highlights was the bruscheta and the chooky burger for dinner and the chilli eggs for brekkie.
