Whenever I laid eyes on this spot I knew I needed to go and test it out - it had been one of these traditional corner shops, but with class. In reality, unlike a lot of them which you see around the area, it was not covered in advertisements, and it surely did not have a huge 7-11 neon sign out front . It's a shame it is hidden from the back roads of Balmain though because when it had been near me I'd be down quite frequently. Everything they market seems to be homemade or home grown, and they create some pretty amazing coffee too. Alright, it is not a sit down cafe, but then I have not seen many corner shops which have a sit space in them (however they've got a few chairs outdoors, which I use when I received my java ). The poached fruit (still warm) with yoghurt with a dash of Muesli the other morning was terrific. The produce is fresh and hand picked and there is always something for dinner when caught on the hop.
