We’re huge fans of fresh and healthy food and anything with an environmental philosophy impresses us even more. The philosophy of Grow, Harvest, Serve is propounded by the DAILY GREENS restaurant in Paddington, since it focuses on using fresh food with zero waste and traceable ingredients. Daily Greens has been brought to Paddington care of the founder of Finn Poke, Jem Jacinto and we are glad for this for it is a stunning space with great food. The menu has been curated by Executive Chef and Charles Olali, who comes with great experience from around LA. There’s a great range of breakfast options; whether it be tartines with eggs, house made beet hummus, grilled halloumi or avo on toast or even green bowl. This will ensure you start your day right. Throughout the day, there’s salads and soups, as well as the ā€˜build your own bowl’ option. The build your own bowl is perfect for the picky diners amongst us. Pick a base, add some fillings, too it with something crunchy and dress it with some flavour. Whilst you’re at it, add some protein for a super satisfying meal. Otherwise pick a ready designed warm or cold bowl. These are available until 7pm. We selected two warm bowls; the ā€œMiso Salmonā€ and ā€œMoroccan Chickenā€. The Miso Salmon was a large bowl filled with warm organic black and brown rice, wild rocket, sesame green beans, red onion, cucumber, shredded cabbage, topped with a piece of baked ASC Atlantic Salmon and dressed with a Miso caramel sauce. It was healthy and super lovey flavours. The Moroccan Chicken bowl is filled with warm quinoa, shredded kale, spiced crispy chickpeas, mint, house made beet hummus, balsamic vinaigrette and topped with roasted Dutch carrots and roasted free range chicken. Another fresh and satisfying lunch bowl. Perfect for those with dietary requirements, for you can find plenty of options that suit gluten free and vegan diners. On the drinks list you’ll find kombucha, fresh juices, teas and coffees. They have a few specialty hot drinks like turmeric, chai, matcha and beetroot lattes. There’s even a few beers in the menu. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax. The Daily Greens is a hidden little gem that you will find to be calm and serene and we love the prominent tree featuring in the courtyard. We’d even recommend popping in with a book to for a leisurely time out to chill. Interior architect Han Lim has certainly done a great job for it’s not only stunning, but has a calming colour palette and feels like a an inner urban oasis. Head in for a healthy and tasty lunch at reasonable prices, for everything is less that $18.

I dined in here and I never got a receipt but the bill was about 4 dollars more than it said on the menu and also got charged a surcharge for using my Mastercard which is fairly standard now days but I don't know where the extra $4 came from as it was not a public holiday. I know it does not seem like a lot but I would not want this to happen every time as it would soon add up. The guy on the till was not particularly friendly and very abrupt. He asked if I wanted avocado and I said no and I did not receive avocado so wondering if he charged for this as the bill did not add up. The Cafe is quite pretty inside with a tree and nice decor. I ordered the Moroccan chicken salad and a pineapple and mint juice which I was expecting it to be freshly squeezed but it is already ready made. I would not order a juice here again as I felt it was a rip off. They gave it to me at the counter straight away and it comes in a jar. I asked for a straw and they pointed to where to get one. I thought it was odd not to give a straw in the first place as you would not drink it straight out of the jar. I did not really feel the service was great and I probably would only get takeaway again. Some of the staff seemed friendly however the guy on the counter I am unsure his name was not pleasant at all. The Moroccan chicken salad itself was very enjoyable and I would order this again. The chicken was a little on the dry side which is why I rated the food 4 instead of 5 and the juice was really very average. The mint that was meant to be in my juice must of gone all into my salad as there was no mint at all in the juice. Most places would freshly make a juice in Sydney for the price being charged $9 for a tiny jar. I would not order a juice here again under any circumstances. The juice tasted watered done and you could barely taste the pineapple and there was zero mint. Overall I would only return for takeaway salad bowl as I did not rate the service.

This super cute eatery in Paddington is easily one of the most insta-worthy spots in the city; it’s not flowers, there’s no gimmicky decorations come paintings or murals, it’s just… green. The space at Daily Greens offers a place of comfort and zen, so comfortable I think I could come here everyday to relax. It’s easy to get comfy amongst the cushions and soak up the sun rays, for it’s a place of serenity, great for the stomach and the soul. There’s also a small outdoor area on the balcony with tall greenery, for those who prefer the open air. As for the food, the front area of the eatery operates as a grab and go bowls area, perfect for office workers on the go. For those who want to sit in, you can still have the same bowls (in the same paper bowls), but if you come for breakfast before 10:30am you and enjoy the usual breakkie favourites on ceramics. Expect clean, lean, green eats; fresh breads, colourful juices, free range eggsellent, and the coffee is pretty good too! Pros: Beautiful aesthetic, healthy clean eats. Cons: The food might be ā€œtoo cleanā€ for some people, and disposable bowls for dine-in.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Literally the worst sandwich I've had, at a charge of $20 for one SALAD sandwich. The GF bread (additional $3 charge) was COMPLETELY stale. Seagulls wouldn't have been able to get down the bread I was served, which was clearly AT LEAST a week old. I informed a staff member immediately. The waiter insisted on using their bare hands to prod around the bread to confirm it was stiff as a board. After touching my food/prodding the bread, the waiter went off to tell their manager... Upon their return they said there was nothing they would be doing to help me as it was "normal" to feel stiff/stale. It is not "normal" as this place uses Nonie's GF bread which is usually soft and fresh. So for $20 I now had a totally inedible stale bread sandwich that the waiter had put their bare hands all over. Yep, that's a bargain $10 per half of a "miniature bread" sandwich. I had been incredibly calm, respectful and polite the entire time I was asking for the issue to be rectified. The staff and manager did not express one bit of care for me as their customer. They did not offer to prepare something else that was not stale, and they did not offer to refund me. How a head chef could have served food like that is a disgrace. I will never return to this place because they made it very clear by their actions and attitude that THEY DON'T CARE about their customers or the quality of food they serve. If they're serving stale bread, I wouldn't risk the consequences of something like stale chicken if a restaurant is running the gauntlet that far with their used by dates. I love good food and ethical restaurateurs. This place offers neither. PS. The tables/premises were noticeably dirty, and my seat cushion (located inside) was soaking wet and saturated...
