⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Hidden Gem in the Leafy North Shore: Westfield Hornsby

Westfield Hornsby is truly one of Sydney’s best-kept secrets when it comes to a well-rounded, high-quality shopping and lifestyle experience. Nestled in the lush, leafy surrounds of the Upper North Shore, the centre blends natural beauty with an impressive array of offerings for people of all ages and interests.Whether you’re after high-end fashion, practical homewares, the latest tech, or everyday essentials, Westfield Hornsby has it all. From David Jones and Uniqlo to Kmart, Target, and specialty boutiques, there’s something here to suit every budget and taste. You can spend hours browsing and still feel like you’ve only scratched the.One thing that truly sets this centre apart is the staff. From security and concierge to retail assistants and cleaners, everyone is genuinely helpful, approachable, and professional. It’s clear that high standards of customer service are a priority, and it makes a big difference to the overall atmosphere. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive.A standout feature is the breathtaking steampunk-style water clock fountain in the centre court. It’s not just a visual highlight but a whimsical, artistic piece that adds a unique and memorable character to the centre. Kids are mesmerized by it, and adults can’t help but stop and admire the craftsmanship. If you’re a foodie, you’re in for a treat. For a casual bite, the centre has a bustling food court and a fantastic yum cha restaurant, Joyful House, that serves up delicious dumplings and Cantonese favourites in a lively, authentic setting. But if you’re after something more refined, Firestone is a standout. With a sleek, contemporary fit-out and a menu that channels the innovation and flair of Jamie Oliver and Neil Perry, it’s a must-try for lovers of modern Australian cuisine. Their sizzling steak on a hot stone is a true culinary experience.Families are well catered to here, too. The Event Cinemas complex is perfect for a rainy-day outing or a weekend treat, and the nearby Koko Amusement arcade offers a great selection of games and activities for kids and the young-at-heart. It’s a destination that keeps everyone entertainment. Set in one of Sydney’s most picturesque suburbs, Westfield Hornsby offers the rare combination of convenience and tranquillity. It’s easily accessible via train or car, yet feels a world away from the hustle of the city, thanks to the surrounding greenery and relaxed vibe of the area.Westfield Hornsby isn’t just a shopping centre—it’s a destination. Whether you’re coming for a quick errand, a family day out, or a full-blown retail therapy session, you’ll find everything you need and more. Friendly faces, top-tier dining, great entertainment, and a beautiful setting—it’s five...

A couple of weeks ago I went to Hornsby Westfield with my Father to pick up a mobility scooter for him and I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the level of service. The girl Hayley who attended to my Dad was courteous, friendly and very helpful to my Father.

I was surprised though that there weren't many scooters available which I assumed that for a large shopping centre like Westfield there would be not only be more available but also more variety to cater to the different needs of people requiring these scooters.

There was only scooter left that was suitable for my Father so we were lucky to get it. When I asked Hayley why there weren't more scooters on offer she couldn't give a valid reason and that it was up to management to order more even though she told me she had put in request for more.

This is the first time that I have accompanied my Father to get a mobility scooter and I was also surprised that they were in such a small space. If management reads this review I strongly urge that more scooters be purchased for shoppers and also ensure that there is more selection. If there wasn't a suitable scooter available for my Father we would not have been able to spend the time that my Parents needed to do all their shopping.

I also saw that after we returned the scooter and as we were leaving, the girl Hayley was thoroughly sanitising the scooter my Father had used - which I actually did not expect.

So I gave a 5 star review basically for the level of service but not for the scooters that...

Firstly, it must be said that the staff at Westfield Hornsby are absolutely lovely, professional and helpful- and this review in no way, shape or form is about them. But the centre they are working with is a disgrace. This is a centre which was slick and fancy when it was redeveloped nearly thirty years ago, and which hasn’t been updated in any meaningful way since. One only has to look at the walls to see the yellowing fixtures, tired paint, and floors beginning to succumb to decades of use with very little meaningful upkeep.

It is more surprising to find the escalators and travellators fully working- and more frustrating when instead of letting people use them as stairs, one must walk a few hundred metres away to find the next “working” access. Lifts go down for months and years at a time, leaving queues waiting sometimes a quarter to half of an hour to take the only available access to the upper carpark levels.

Hornsby could have been the jewel in the crown of the Westfield centres here in Sydney. Instead, us local residents have been forced to deal with the ongoing mismanagement and slow decline towards dereliction- knowing the staff on the ground are doing their best whilst Corporate allows this centre to go to pot. Either Scentre Group needs to announce a full and proper renewal of this shopping centre, or step aside and sell to...

This shopping centre has it all from deli to cafes, Woolies, Aldi and Coles, restaurants, pharmacies and fashion stores... And DAISO is coming soon!!! That really completes the shopping centre along with TK Max on this part of northen Sydney. What is sad to see is as some shops close down (after effects of COVID-19?) more hair and nail salons are opening.... Another thing I don't like about this place is greed. Every possible square inch of what should be an open space for walking is rented out to businesses, and at times this practice look like it can cause some serious safety issues if and when a large number of people have to evacuate in case of emergency. Digital signs are placed in what seems to be random inconvenient locations blocking the pathways. When a new shop is under construction, the boarded up walls stick out so much causing the walk path to be really cramped. The management should be leaving plenty of space for two carts and their companions to pass comfortably at any given time for a pleasant shopping experience!

Love this shopping mall. It has so many interesting shops to visit. We hired the push car to push our 4 years old. It was a very reasonable price of $5/hour. He felt happy and I could walk to many places with my friends. Without this push car, we wouldn't be able to visit many shops. The only not so positive thing about this push car is the fact it's not allowed on the escalator, which is fine due to accident risk. It's so close to the train station too so I could go on and venture with our 4 years old and it wasn't too much for him to walk with me. The game area on the top floor was amazing. The equipment was new and clean. I love arcade, it reminds me of my childhood. One of my favourite things about this mall is the bookcafe and an open library. We stopped for a bit to read book, and I thought it was such a nice experience. Overall, I think this shopping mall is a great place for individuals or families to visit. Take the train and you can avoid parking. There are many shops on the way from the train station to the mall too.
