Nice environment. Definitely go with Vmax (cinema 4) always. The chair is bigger and more comfortable. I am 75kg and 180cm. I can have my legs crossed comfortably and still have extra room. You park on Coles side of car park (not Woolworth side) and just take the escalator up. There is like a little Time Zone area kind of say 20 or 30 gaming machines opposite to the box office. Plenty of candies and drinks to choose. Toilets upstairs and downstairs so poor ladies don't need to queue up. After the movie there is a nice strip of pretty nice restaurants on ground floor around the outside next to the waterfountain clock. Or if you go grab something quick to bite there is also a good court inside the shopping centre (same level as EB). Compared to Vmax in Chatswood Westfield (not Chatswood Mandarin Centre), Chatswood Westfield one has even bigger leg rooms if you sit at certain rows. So if you prefer extra extra more leg room then goto Chatswood Westfield Hoyts. In terms of buying tickets definitely show your student ID and have Cinebuzz account to lower the price. Maybe not book online if possible as they charge a few dollars if you book online strangely. You would think they should make it cheaper to...
Read moreBadly managed, worn down, dirty cinema with as much atmosphere as a neglected bus shelter. It feels like it’s closed and doesn’t even smell like popcorn for goodness sake. We’ve been twice in the last six months and both experiences were awful. The second one was the last straw. They don’t check tickets here and clearly word has spread because people just walk upstairs and go in for a free movie. We had one lady bring her screaming toddler to a Saturday night session of MI: Dead Reckoning and she responded to complaints by moving up the back and spreading her kid’s toys in the entrance area. The kid continued crying and yelling loudly despite this new ´creche‘ set up by this extraordinarily considerate mother. We left before Tom Cruise even appeared on the screen and got a refund (along with some other patrons by the way). So, if you need to clear a cinema on a Saturday night, just take a screaming toddler. Ruined our dinner and a movie date night. It’s pathetic and we will not be back. This has been our local cinema for the last fifteen...
Read moreI have been visiting Events Hornsby since they opened 20+ years ago. Every single visit has been outstanding - there would be hundreds of visits now over the years. The young lady with dyed blond hair who served us at the cafe counter today was without doubt the rudest employee I have ever encountered - ever. I was approached upstairs by the manager as apparently the young woman downstairs had not charged us for 2 x choc tops when we purchased out tickets. I put them up on the counter when buying tickets and presenting our vouchers. The woman did not say the amount I was tapping / paying for so I tapped without a thought to it. When I returned downstairs I was met with arrogance, attitude and aggression. She said VERY loudly : "ok so now you're going to pay for them, not just TAKE them!". I asked her if she was accusing me of trying to steal them. The smirk on her face said it all. Will...
