I popped into Eat Mi Neutral Bay just before closing on Friday, fully aware of how frustrating it can be for hospitality staff when someone shows up last minute (I’ve worked in the industry myself). I asked politely if they were still open and mentioned I only do pork Banh Mi (the proper Vietnamese way, in my opinion). They were already packed down, fridges closed, salamander off; but instead of turning me away, the two lovely ladies insisted it was no problem and that they could still make it happen. Not only did they pull everything back out and fire up the kitchen again, they did it with a smile. No sighs, no fuss... just pure hospitality and kindness. The Banh Mi itself? Delicious. Super fresh, generous on the pork, perfectly balanced with pickled veggies, herbs, and just the right kick from the chilies. Crispy bread, fair price, and packed with protein. I couldn’t have been more satisfied! I was already so impressed I asked if I could take a photo before they wrapped it up, and they graciously obliged. If more businesses operated with this level of professionalism and heart, the world would be a better place. Absolute credit to the team! They’ve earned every bit of this five-star review. Highly recommend. Will 100% be back.

This place might not have the most traditional pork roll, but the ingredients are super fresh, and everything is very clean. The owner said they get their bread rolls fresh every morning from Marrickville Pork Roll. The rolls are packed with generous fillings, and the chicken vermicelli salad tastes great, with just the right amount of sauce. The crispy pork roll is tasty, and there are also some great vegetarian options. If you’re looking for a fresh pork roll with good ingredients, you should try this place. The owner, Soo, is also really friendly!

I have posted a photo the latest menu & prices as of 23 August 2025. Still the best Bahn Mi in Neutral Bay by a long shot. Still tasty fresh and “healthy” lunch. Just know you might have to wait a bit at peak times (they tell you if it’s long) … but the reason you wait is it’s popular so they are doing something right. Happy to continue supporting this local business despite some friendly competition in Young St which I also like (but IMO the rolls are better here).

Everything about Eat Mi at Neutral Bay is just purely a wonderful quick and healthy lunch to stop by with pure authentic fast service everyday. The crispy pork rolls to pork noodle salad and different variety of Ice Tea hit the spot every time. Always delicious, fresh herbs to all toppings choices with good amount of portion consistency every day touch with all the fresh Vietnamese ingredients.

Served with friendly staff every time who always remembers your name or face is so uplifting! The atmosphere is very welcoming modern and perfect if you are wanting to dine in or takeaway with yummy fresh smell as soon as I walk up the easy assessable ramp towards the shop. Parking is easy and a great location when you can takeaway your lunch to a short drive to Balmoral beach or work or just locally.

Highly recommended Eat Mi Neutral Bay to enjoy a healthy quick lunch or snack, with great quality of food where nothing compares around...

I've been an avid fan of Eat Mi since it first opened in 2019. Not only do I always go out of my way to eat here when I'm nearby, but this is my go to place for Vietnamese food. Every meal is packed with the FRESHEST veggies and ingredients, and you can tell each meal is carefully prepared with love too! I'm Vietnamese myself and love how authentic this place is.

Heads up if you're coming for lunch, try to get there before or after the lunch rush because you can count on this place being packed! However even when it's busy, the wait is never too long and always worth it :)

Since 2019, I've returned to this place each time to order the Crispy Pork Vermicelli Bowl and Lychee Rose Iced Tea. The crispy pork here is honestly the best I've tasted in Sydney. The food (and service) here is amazing, just like the...
