We recently visited 은하수 with my foreign boyfriend, hoping to enjoy an authentic Korean dining experience reminiscent of Seoul. However, this visit left us with mixed feelings. The ambiance was less than ideal on a warm day as the air conditioning was not turned on, and there was a lingering smell of a wet kitchen cloth throughout the restaurant. Although we could have requested the staff to adjust the temperature, the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable. Moreover, the constant gaze from the kitchen lady or boss lady added to our discomfort. It made the dining experience less enjoyable and left us wondering about the reason behind the scrutiny. The real disappointment, however, came from the food. The grilled 갈치 was notably soggy and lacked the freshness we expected. Even the various banchan and other dishes we ordered failed to compensate for the letdown of the 갈치정식. I struggle to recall the specific dish we ordered, possibly 제육볶음, as my brain tends to filter out negative memories.Additionally, the restaurant itself appeared outdated and in need of renovation or a deep clean. This, combined with the subpar dining experience, makes it unlikely for us to revisit 은하수...

I have been here twice and in every visit I have been very pleased with the food. I had the Shabu Shabu and it was very delicious. It was a good price too as it was $25 per 2 person portion where it is a hotpot containing beef, crab and a variety of vegetables. The owner, the man, was very friendly as on my first visit (a couple months ago) he recommended tasty dishes and made us welcomed. I would definitely recommend coming for a visit if you are in the Strathfield area as it is traditional Korean food so it is different to other...

This Korean restaurant worth crossing the Strathfield train underpass. Its cosy and authentic. They have all the dishes you'd expect (try the kim chi pancake) and some dishes that are delight to discover like the nutritious rice cooked in a pressure cooker. Condiments are free and you can ask for extra if you run out. Pricing is mid range and quality and taste is excellent. Free street parking after 6pm Mon-Sat and...

Very bad experience, seasoning package was found in the Hotpot with hair. The side dishes taste under average, I lost appetite after looking at the side dishes, the eggplant makes me think of human excrement. The employee gave no action when we told him about the seasoning package but gave us an arrogant attitude. Check your meal before having it!!!
