FUSKA HOUSE — Restaurant in Sydney

I went there with my wife and few friends. We were actually look for a place where we could have "Bangladeshi style Chinese" food, if you know what I mean. ;-) The food review for this restaurant was good which was why we decided to come here. But what we missed was that the review was for traditional Bangladeshi popular foods. I think traditional Bangladeshi foods might be very good, however we had "Bangladeshi style Chinese", quality of which, I would say, average.

But the disappointment is that they do not have a good menu for Chinese food other than combo package, which I would say is a bit pricey comparing to other foods around that area.

Apart from that, the staffs seemed a bit less professional, not good at taking notes. They served foods those were not ordered. I assume either they did not understand, or they did it purposely to sell, neither of which is acceptable. Even we had to talk to the owner to get things sorted.

For Chinese food, I definitely would not recommend. For other foods, I will have to make one more visit to understand their quality of service.

Review on Fuska House Restaurant, Rockdale: I went along with my other 3 family friends, total 8 adults & 7 children with an early information to have dinner, we arrived at 08:00pm. Ordered for very ordinary entry & main dish, obviously expecting for service in 20-30 minutes. We were waiting & waiting for 1 hour, 1&1/2 hour, 2 hours gone food was not ready to serve, then I looked inside the kitchen & found, the girl in front counter who took our order she was cooking in the kitchen, that means they don’t have enough people; our table didn’t have glass, cutlery, napkin, water, it was very annoying. Later when the cutlery was placed, those were all wet, not cleaned, not presentable at all. Every time we asked about how long waiting time , she came and said, soon food would be on the table. When food was served, it was not in a reasonable quantity & not a good quality. I with my other family friends were totally frustrated about the Fuska House, Rockdale. Never visiting again. We ordered the Family Size Thai Soup, which was okay in terms of flavor and portion size. However, we experienced what felt like a deceptive pricing issue with the prawns. The in-store menu clearly stated an additional charge of $1 for prawns, but our bill reflected a $12 increase over the soup's base price. Upon inquiry, we were informed that the current charge is $2 per prawn, with 6 prawns typically included in the family size (which was not mentioned). We also got only 5 prawns in our soup. When confronted they offered to refund the difference but our concern lies with the misleading information presented on the menu and the lack of transparency regarding the updated pricing. We strongly suggest updating the menus to reflect current prices and informing customers of any price changes at the time of ordering to avoid similar disingenuous situations in the future as this is deceitful and poor business practice.
