Do not trust the negative reviews. I do not know what it was like before. But the 1 star reviews do not reflect the experience I had and doubt it was that bad. I actually hesitated in trying this place based on the reviews. As it was getting late one night, didn't have much options. I gave them a chance.

What a surprise. They are such lovely people with great sense of humor, there was a lady who was cleaning wiping surfaces. A rare sight to be honest in take away places. They also sell other foods outside of seafood. I have been to this place twice in the same week. Fish and chips. And beef burgers.

Their prices are awesome. Whilst they may not measure up to other seafood and take out places in other areas. But it's definitely the best in this area and happy to return. I am keen to try their bacon and egg rolls. Even their chicken schnitzel burger.

If you follow me and see my reviews I am not that generous in giving 5 stars. This place is great for locals. I hope they consider doing Chinese stir fry dishes as well. Georges Hall has a lack of choice with foods. They seem to be fair with prices, quality and...

No doubt the best burgers in Georges Hall since the original Chicko King first opened. However in recent months (aka covid) they have become 'cash only' (despite having a sign that said card transactions will incur a fee - indicating eftpos is available) - I'm quite happy for a eftpos fee however they refuse to accept my card despite the sign being there. I have told them to take the sign down to be more clear about only accepting cash, but they just apologise and say they don't want to charge me a fee, despite me happily accepting such fee. Been a regular customer for years (since the original shop opened) but my family and I are now often reluctant to go as often as we used to. Original owners never stressed about this supposed fee, and as long as customers are aware of it I don't understand why they are so against eftpos...unless it's tax reasons in an age of job seeker/keeper payments. The very best freshest seafood, burgers, chicken and service in our area. Buy there almost daily for work because of it. We're all addicted to the quality of this place. They take pride in cooking and serving everything to the highest quality. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Really happy to support a small local business that goes above and beyond in these times....
