Wild Child has to be one of the biggest rip-offs we’ve experienced. My family and I went for a simple Sunday breakfast with our 10 month old, ordering four “Good Old Brekky” meals at $30 each and one boiled egg for our baby. We asked to replace the baked beans with extra tomato (which already comes with the meal) and added halloumi for $5 extra per plate, all of which was agreed upon. Despite asking for scrambled eggs, all meals came out poached, and the staff got defensive when we asked for the correct order. After reluctantly fixing it, they handed us a bill for $210. By all logic, $35 x 4 = $140, plus $3 for the boiled egg totals $143. When we questioned the $67 difference, we were met with vague and inconsistent excuses. Even after proving the maths, the staff couldn’t explain the overcharge and just brushed it off with “oh I don’t even know.” It left such a bad taste in our mouths that I didn’t even finish my meal. Wild Child has lost all credibility in our eyes. Overpriced, unprofessional, and not worth the hype.

Went there for the first time for having brunch with my wife. Foods are outstanding, no doubt about that. Loved the Shakshuka as it was full of flavours and big chunks of lamb. Smashed avocado on toast was delicious as well. Foods and environment totally deserve a 5/5. However, their kitchen service still needs to improve. I am just being honest on this as from my perspective, the mains/foods should be served together. Chefs must maintain their timing on prep and serve. My Shakshuka was almost finished when the smash avo came in. My wife had to wait on her order. Besides, I requested them to serve the coffee with the dessert, but it was served with the mains. So, by the time I finished my food, the coffee got cold. But it was really a nice coffee, I wouldn’t lie. Apart from these flaws, I will again admit that their foods were outstanding! Floor service was good as I could see the floor staff was working hard and running everywhere with a smile. Wish them to keep up the good work.

I was keen to try the Taro Pancakes, having seen all the positive reviews and photos, but was disappointed. The pancakes were sickly sweet, dense and way too rich, albeit very instagrammable. That said, the taro sauce was actually lovely, as the flavour reminded me of taro milk tea. However, it's just a shame it was paired with such heavy pancakes. Even the fruit and ice cream couldn't cut through it all. The Grilled Salmon & Soba Noodle dish was slightly better. Unfortunately, the salmon was overcooked and dry. On the bright side, the soba noodles and veggies saved the meal and served as a fresh accompaniment. We wanted more of that. The Acai and Mango Smoothies were blended well, refreshing and thick, helping to wash down the Taro Pancakes. Unsure about the other menu items which we were thinking of trying, but this is our experience of these particular dishes.

We recently visited here, while the food was good, the customer service left much to be desired.

We ordered two pistachio pancakes, but my friend decided to change the flavor to taro. When she approached the reception, she was informed that the order had already been started, which was fine, and we accepted it. However, when the food was delivered, we only received one pistachio pancake.

We waited outside in 34°C weather for the second pancake, but it never arrived. When I went inside to inquire about the status, the receptionist claimed it had been canceled because “she [my friend] didn’t want it.” This was completely untrue. My friend had only requested a flavor change, which was denied because preparation had already started.

I expressed my frustration and explained that I specifically came for that pancake. The receptionist initially offered to provide it for free but then casually mentioned the kitchen was closed. My friend went back to clarify that she hadn’t eaten anything and was willing to pay for the pancake. Suddenly, the kitchen was “open,” and payment was taken without issue.

This experience was extremely disappointing. I wasn’t asking for free food—just the item I ordered and paid for. The lack of communication, conflicting statements, and dismissive attitude left a very negative impression. Customer service is just as important as the quality of food, and this interaction fell far short of...

I recently dined here and unfortunately, my experience fell short of my expectations. I ordered a flat white and an iced coffee, but both drinks did not meet the mark. The iced coffee had an overwhelming bitterness that was masked by excessive sugar, the resulting acid like aftertaste making it impossible to drink.

I also tried the Turkish eggs, but the poached egg whites were runny; they were not properly cooked. The under the eggs had an unusual flavour that reminded me of tartar sauce, overwhelming the dish with the unpleasant taste, furthering my disappointment.

Additionally, the crispy chicken waffle we ordered was also extremely disappointing. The chicken was drenched in sauce, which made it soggy instead of the crunchy texture I had hoped for, and the waffle didn’t hit the mark either—it was cold and undercooked.

On top of this, not even an hour later we were both feeling unwell.

On a positive note the service was very good.

Overall, very disappointing experience and I hope my feedback can contribute to improvements...
